Shimmerpaw's Warrior Ceremony

It felt like these last few days had been especially lucky. The warrior den was filling up more and more each day, and kits leaving the nursery took their places as apprentices. RiverClan was only growing. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a Clan meeting!"

Shallowpaw trotted out of the apprentice den and sat down, staring curiously at Reedstar.

Shimmerpaw padded next to Shallowpaw and sat down. "I wonder what this is about," she said as she groomed her fur a bit.

Shallowpaw smiled. "I bet you're going to be made a warrior," he meowed.

What Reedstar said next confirmed the truth in Shimmerpaw's words. "Shimmerpaw," he mewed. "You've trained hard, and you're more than ready for the duties of warriorhood. I, Reedstar, leader of RiverClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Shimmerpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Shallowpaw smiled. "Congratulations, Shimmerpaw!" he purred quietly.

"Yes," Shimmerpaw said happily

Fogkit blinked slowly as she watched this happen, he knew the basics. You live in a camp, that is your home and when you turn older you become an apprentice. Now she had no clue what was happening, "What is a warrior?" she asked out-loud.

Shimmerpaw ignored the kit's voice, mainly because she was to excited to hear what she had said.

Reedstar nodded. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Shimmerpaw, from this moment you will be known as Shimmermist. StarClan honors your skill and virtues, and we welcome you as a full warrior of RiverClan."

Shimmermist? Shimmerpaw or Shimmermist thought of that name for a moment. It'll have to do! Shimmerpaw I mean Shimmermist stood proudly, looking back at Shallowpaw.

Shallowpaw smiled and trotted up to her. "Congrats! I can't wait 'till my warrior ceremony!" he purred.
