Under the Blue Sky

The camp was silence as Bearpaw stared up at the sky. It was a rich, bright blue and a few clouds drifted across it, but she knew that soon it would turn dark and it would become the night sky she had lived under for moons. The lone she-cat apprentice was lying on her back, her paws curled on her chest as her tail flickered. She had trouble sleeping so she had wandered out of the apprentice den to see the sky that the other Clans lived their lives under. It seemed to strange to think that the other Clans spent their time awake at this time, instead of under the beautiful night sky.

She rolled onto her side with a sigh, shaking her head slightly. Truthfully, she had never really seen a non-ShadowClan cat due to the fact that ShadowClan worked hard to stay away from them and their different lifestyles kept them from patrolling the borders at the same time. She had only seen the other clans when they were patrolling at Dusk and Dawn, but normally she was asleep at those time. As she dragged one of her paws across the ground, she sighed as her ears went back. "How long are the Clans going to stay apart?" she muttered. Surely this couldn't last forever...

Tigerpaw padded around the camp, letting out a loud and long yawn, seemingly very bored with nothing better to do at the moment. His mentor was sleeping the night off after having played guard duty all the day before, leaving him to do apprentice duties alone - but there were so many apprentices at the moment, there were no duties left to be done! What's a cat to do, right? He flicked his ear, seeing a she-cat laying on her back and staring up at the stars. If he didn't know any better, he'd have thought she was sick or something, yet he knew exactly who she was and was curious as to why she was suddenly so entranced by Silverpelt. They saw it every night.

"Bearpaw," He approached with a smile. Maybe it was strange, but he liked the sound of her name. "What were you doing? You were getting your pelt all ruffled and dirty."

Bearpaw huffed as she glanced at Tigerpaw, her tail flicking. "Oh shush; Tigerpaw," she said in a soft tone, but there was a small flicker of a smile on her face. "Anyways, I'm just looking at the sky. It is so...Weird, to think that the other Clans don't spend their times under the stars like us."
