Amberheart is lonely

ooc: I'm trying to make this subtle. It's not working...

Amberheart sighed as her paws touched the hot rocks. She looked around. No one here. Good. She wanted someone, anyone, to love her. She could have kits, and someone to share her thoughts with. But of course, there were no warriors her age without mates already. Even Midnightpaw and Honeypaw seemed to have something going. She sighed again. Then she spotted the border between her and ThunderClan's territory. There doesn't seem to be anyone around... She thought. She was bored anyway, so she padded up to it. She hesitated a moment, then stepped over. There was so much undergrowth here! It was like a different world! She smiled happily, it was something different than the contented boring-ness of New-Leaf in RiverClan. The scent of oak and maple hit her nose. She breathed deeply. There weren't many trees other then willows in RiverClan territory, and they were an odd sight. She flinched as a squirrel ran a tree. She'd only seen them on the way to gatherings! She purred and jumped up a tree. She hadn't climbed one before and slipped, falling onto the ground.

ooc: I want to join this, but seems like Amberheart needs to find a mate.

ooc: Yeah, she does, but you can still join if you really want.

ooc: Nah, it's okay. this thread is for you and your mate *wink wink*

ooc: Lol ok.

Amberheart caught sight of another squirrel foraging for nuts. She sank to the ground and began stalking it.

Ooc: no one? Really?

Midnightpaw looked over across the border. "Amberheart?" He asked as he silently crossed the river.

Ooc: Yeah..

Amberheart jumped and spun around. "O-oh! Hey Midnightpaw...." she said, trying to be casual.

"What are you doing!? If Reedstar knew we were out here, he'll have our pelts! Forget about Thunder clan, Reedstar is much more scary." He mewed and shook off the water.

Amberheart skipped over to RiverClan territory. "Yeah, I know," She mewed shakily, the weight of what she had done settling on her, "There was no one around, and there was nothing to do, so..." She sighed, she couldn't make excuses. "I went into ThunderClan territory."

Midnightpaw licked her side trying to calm her d own. "It's alright, if any of them found out just say I chased a squirrel to the other side and you had to get me back."

Amberheart relaxed a bit. "Midnightpaw, I would never let you take the blame," she mewed, "you know that." Her body language, however, showed she was grateful for the help.

"I know you would never do that, I'm offering to take the blame there's a difference. " he mewed and sat down by the river.

"Alright, if you really want to." she meowed and gave a small mrow of slightly nervous laughter. "How's... Honeypaw?" she asked, regretting it as she said it. She didn't know if Midnightpaw knew that the clan knew, or if it was a sore subject with him. She had just wanted to change the subject.

He gave out a content sigh. "She's great, but sometimes I think she's too good for me"

Amberheart was glad he answered readily. "What do you mean?" she mewed, astonished, "You're one of the greatest toms I know!"
