Little Lightkit

"Oh." Lightkit said. She looked around and saw the moth. She dashed at it and leapt, feeling something under her paws. Her eyes widened. "Graykit!! Graykit!! I caught it!!" she said excitedly.

"Really?" he asked. He ran over to her. "You did?" It didn't seem like she could catch it, but she did. What was she going to do with the moth now? Catch and release? Kill it? I guess the only way to know for sure is to wait. He watched Lightkit, trying to figure out what she might do before she does it.

"What do I do with it?" Lightkit asked, unsure. She looked up at him and waited for his response.

"Well if you're having fun, then just release it and try to catch it again." He said. That was what he wanted her to do, but it was her choice. I hope she does.

Lightkit looked at her paws and lifted them. The moth fluttered out and Lightkit chased it again

Graykit sat down, and started to move one paw around on the ground. He usually did this when he didn't know what do do.

Lightkit got tired and flopped down, watching the moth fly away.

"Tired?" he asked. She had done that a lot longer than he expected. She was passing all of his expectations.

"A little." she responded before getting up into a sitting position.

Graykit got up, and walked over to her. He started to circle around her, trying to find out if she had something unique, other than her fur and her name.

Lightkit glanced at him curiosly. "What are you doing?" she asked with a small laugh.

"Oh, uhh. Nothing." He said as he backed away and sat down. He closed his eyes, tring to bring up a mental image of Lightkit. He didn't see anything different.

Lightkit nudged his shoulder with her muzzle. "It's fun having a friend like you." she said softly.

He opened his eyes and smiled. "Yeah, I am too." he said. "So, how old are you?"

"Almost three moons!" she squeaked happily. The small kit smiled at him.
