Blind Winters

In ThunderClan's nursery, a small kit rolled on her side. She'd found sleeping fruitless, so she sat up and inhaled sharply. The scents of dew, of dawn, of bitter cold and leaf-bare bathed her tongue. Yawning, she got to her paws and stretched shaking her fur out. The small brown tabby stepped around other sleeping kittens as best she could, then plopped down outside the den. She looked around, her nose and whiskers twitching. Her ears swiveled as she searched for another cat around camp.

Phoenixkit, who had just apparently awakened, spotted another kit outside the den, and hopped over, trying not to wake the other cats in the Nursery. "Hey there," she mewed. "What's your name? I'm Phoenixkit."

Dragonkit looked at Phoenixkit with an open eye. His ear twitched. Then he blinked and raised his head.

Wrenkit didn't turn to face the other she-kit. "Wrenkit." she meowed blankly. He tail-tip flickered, silently bouncing up and down off the cold earth. She shifted her paws, trying to disperse the heat through her entire weight.

Dragonkit nodded to Wrenkit.
"Hello, Wrenkit," Dragonkit yawned.

Moonkit sat at the entrance of the nursery staring up at the sky, wondering if her parents were up there watching over her, would they be proud of her? Moonkit sighed and looked over at the other kits who were chatting.

Dragonkit blinked then stretched. His mother, Goldensong, was sleeping soundly.

Wrenkit's nose twitched, and her ears lay flat against her head. Her lip curled back, revealing her small but pointed teeth. The frigid, frosty air shifted around as cats started waking up like the normally did. She hated the smell when everyone got up. Too many smells clashing together at once.. it hurt to smell it all. She stifled a yawn, not wanting to taste it all too.
"Hmph. It sure is boring around here..."

"Come on guys, im bored, lets go play outside!" Dragonkit huffed.

"We are outside!" The small tabby she-kit snapped, fluffing her fur out.

Dragonkit rolled his eyes.
"Lets play mossball," Dragonkit mewed and rolled a bunch of moss into a ball.

Phoenixkit rolled her eyes before swatting the mossball. "Fine! I'm bored anyways! There's nothing fun to do. Not until we become apprentices. And that won't be until 6 moons!" She bounded towards where she hit the mossball. "Come on, slowpokes. I don't got all day."

Dragonkit bolted forward and batted the mossball to Wrenkit.
