Shadepaw, Lionpaw and Snowpaw's Warrior Ceremonies

Nightstar looked down on ShadowClan's camp. A warm feeling spread through her chest. It was time for some apprentices to grow up. To take what was possibly the last rung on the latter of Clan ranking. Warrior. Which was the last rank possible. Excluding Deputy and Leader. Inhaling, Nightstar summoned the clan, letting her voice echo through the clearing. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, join here beneath the Jaggedrock for a clan meeting."

Snowpaw ran quickly through the den. She quickly sat down closely by the Jaggedrock. "Oh my Starclan! I'm actually gonna be a warrior!"

As Nightstar called, both Thrushstripe and Gingerheart emerged from the warrior's den. Although Gingerheart sat in the back farthest away from the rock, Thrushstripe got right up to it, just out of the spotlight of the soon-to-be warriors of course.

Snowpaw saw her mentor. "Thrustripe! Thank you! I am very nervous!"

Nightcloud came padding from the warrior den, a soft smile on her face as she looked up at Nightstar. She knew what this meeting was about; it was time for a ceremony. She was excited that Lionpaw had finally completed his training and was now ready to become a warrior. She sat down with a grin as she wrapped her tail around her paws, waiting for the lucky apprentices (other than Snowpaw who was already in the clearing) to come.

Lionpaw jumped when he heard the voice and excitedly rushed out. "OMIGOSH," he said. "I think this is our warrior ceremony. He sat down beneath the Jagged Rock and waited, his eyes shining and his tail twitching excitedly.

Shadepaw just rolled his eyes and padded next to his brother and sat there. "Cool," he mewed. "For the first time, I agree with you. I'm pretty sure this IS our warrior ceremony."

Snowpaw saw Lionpaw. "Hey Lionpaw!!"

" I, Nightstar, leader of ShadowClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn." Nightstar leaped down so she was a few tail lengths in front of the to-be warriors. "Do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Snowpaw nodded slowly. "I do."

Shadepaw nodded. "I do," he mewed solemnly.

Lionpaw stopped bouncing. "I do," he mewed.

Nightstar nodded, then continued the ceremony. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior names. Snowpaw, from this moment you will be known as Snowfall. StarClan honors your confidence, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ShadowClan." Nightstar started forward towards Snowfall, then rested her muzzle on her newest warrior's head. After giving her a moment to lick her shoulder, Nightstar took a few steps back to continue with the other apprentices.

"Shadepaw, from this moment you will be known as Shadeflame. StarClan honors your tolerance and respect, we welcome you as a full warrior of ShadowClan." Nightstar again, did the same as she did with Snowfall, then took up her spot once more.

" Lionpaw, from this moment you will be known as Lionstrike. StarClan honors your sense of justice, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ShadowClan."She did the same thing she had done with the other two warriors, then padded backwards, allowing the other cats to cheer for the newest warriors of ShadowClan.

Snowfall about fell over. "Wow. I'm a warrior now." She breathed slowly.

The newly named Shadeflame dipped his head in respect. "I will serve the clan to the best of my ability, Nightstar," he promised.

Lionstrike nodded. "Agreed. Do we start our vigil soon?" He turned to Nightcloud. "Thanks for teaching me all that I know," he mewed.

Snowfall looked at Nightstar happily. "At least I got a good sleep."
