Who's there?

A pale figure moved slowly through ShadowSky territory. He knew he had no right to be here, and his paws refused to turn back home. His white pelt glowed bright under the almost full moon. Ashpaw knew he stood out among the dark shadows of the trees, and tried his best to remain unknown. If he or his brief disappearance was discovered; his clan would probably be harder on him than a normal pure-blooded Clanmate in the same situation. Heck, almost no one outside his own clan knew who he was. Why am I here? I can't even leave now, my scent is everywhere for sure. Shaking his head, he was snapped out of his thoughts by the sound and smell of another cat nearby. Rushing behind a huge, sprawling tree, his heart began to beat faster and faster. What if he was caught? No, it wasn't a what if, it was a when.

Probably not exactly the cat you'd want to find you on their territory at the moment. Simply walking around, collecting herbs, it wasn't really easy to scent anything else if there was catmint lifting up all its sweet auroma to the she-cat's muzzle. However, after dropping the herbs down, the medicine cat apprentice had barely heard another cat and before long, caught the sharp scent of RiverClan. Blinking a bit at why in StarClan one of the cats from the clan of water would be in the woodland territory of SkyClan's former home, there wasn't anything she could think of at the moment. Despite this, it might be best to report the cat to Raccoonstar - just in case.

Ravenpaw narrowed her eyes, reflecting leaf-bare's harsh snow with a cold glint in her eyes, picking up the few herbs she had, before walking up to the supposed trespasser. "Who are you...?" Well, this was a bit of a surprise. A tom - an apprentice of RiverClan - on WindClan territory? There must've been some mistake. However, she just couldn't help but feel as if she was curious - which is quite the first considering her secluded feelings.

The young tom nearly jumped out of his fur in surprise. He hadn't even heard the she-cat come up to him. How did she sneak up on me like that!? It took him a second to process her question, and answered quickly so that he didn't look too stupid. "I'm Ashpaw. And you are..?" The speckled apprentice put a weak smile and forced out a nervous laugh. How in the world will I get myself out of this?

The sudden question of being asked of her name was quite suprising to her. She never even bothered to tell any cat, let alone her clanmates, her name and made them figure it out. "Ravenpaw... That's my name..." It felt too strange to just give out her name just like that, but well, she wasn't the hostile kind - at the moment anyway - and just didn't want to go back to camp yet. Actually, it seemed pretty simple that this... Ashpaw thought she was going to capture him. "Herbs... Medicine Cat...?" Ravenpaw mewed softly to assure him, giving out a small laugh that no cat ever heard before. It was soft and gentle, soothing. Probably never to be heard again, but, hey? One-of-a-kind experiences are nice.

Oh. So this cat, Ravenpaw, wasn't going to drag his guilty butt back home. He breathed a sigh of relief. That would be incredibly embarrassing, for both cats involved. And since she just happens to be a medicine cat, maybe the chances of being shredded on the spot were lowered. "Errm.. Sorry. For being in your territory, I mean." 'Well, that wasn't lame at all!', he sarcastically thought to himself. Out for a walk once, and you're caught nearly immediately. He had simply been following the river at home to see where it went, and BOOM. Stuck in an unknown territory with strange sights, sounds, and smells. He barely knew where he was. His only hope of finding Riverclan by himself would be to stick by the river at all times; he could hardly hear it now.

At his apology, she couldn't exactly know how to respond. With a blink, Ravenpaw was quite curious and all about why he was here, but whether or not she knew he was lost was an entirely different case. At least he knew that she wasn't going to be able to shred him anyways. Wait, why was she so interested about him?... "Uhmm... I could escort you back to... RiverClan territory if you like..." Wincing a bit about the fact that she was speaking one too many words at once with a trespasser, her ears should've moved at the movement, but they just lie still, always flattened. It didn't exactly make sense to her why she just couldn't open up more easily and was too hostile according to a few, yet a random trespasser could make her speak more than she intends? Her eyes didn't exactly meet his, but the river, she knew where it was if he needed it.

"I would be grateful.", Ashpaw meowed quietly, in case someone else was in the area. Taking a quick glance at the Windclan she-cat, he noticed her ears hadn't moved during their whole conversation. Deciding not to ask about it; that could come off as rude, he attempted to scent where the river was, only to have his nose bombarded by the heavy scent of tree sap and dusty dead leaves lingering in the air. So, he would have to rely on another cat to show him the way home? The green eyed youth was still slightly nervous, (Who wouldn't?) she seemed trustworthy enough, but would his presence be told to her clan? Another possibility came to him: what if his scent along with hers was found by a patrol? That could be hard to explain. His eyes blurred slightly from all the thinking he was doing, which would look rather odd to basically anyone.

As this entire conversation was going against her nature, she had vowed to hopefully, stay quiet for the rest of the time. Looking around real quick, Ravenpaw beckoned him over to follow her, rather ignoring how much he was thinking. Her green eye matched her yellow one as she scanned and swept through the many trees of the territory. The least of her worries would be their scent being together. The most? If they're seen together, though she figured it unlikely.

Ic- Following his newfound acquaintance, he followed quietly, hoping that he wasn't being lead into a trap. When the sound of the water grew louder, he relaxed. His shoulders and walk relaxed, no longer holding the uncertain tension from before. Wiping away his thoughts, he focused on his paws, which were dodging around leaves and other debris in an agile manner.

Well, it would've made her realize by now that this cat shouldn't even be on her territory and should be treated for more in a hostile manner. She had accompanied him and didn't even bother to say a single threat, or do so at that matter? That's a dramatic difference, but nonetheless, Ravenpaw had to admit that she had to 'chase' him off. Unsheathing her claws, the medicine cat let out a hiss and growl, her snowy eyes from before, suddenly glaring with a blizzard, frosty ice freezing them up. She couldn't let her clanmates later spot her or ask her why she was with this tom unless she had the valid excuse of chasing him off and leaving some blood or the like. Wincing at the thought though, the medicine cat had to be ready to do so anyway.

Ashpaw blinked in surprise. That was sudden. Backing away with a wary glint in his eye, the pale tom moved towards the moonlit river with care. Tucking his black striped tail towards his body; in case the Ravenpaw got any ideas, and disappeared without a sound under the water. Traveling silently under the calm waters, his head did not reappear until he was on the other side. With water slowly dripping off his pelt, he looked somewhat like a Starclan cat who had lost his way. Giving a polite and thankful nod of farewell, he trotted back home. Maybe I should talk to her again; at the Gathering maybe? Things shouldn't be left on an awkward note.

As soon as the tom left, Ravenpaw untensed, happy that it was all over by then. She personally hoped never to get into contact with him ever again and didn't exactly like him. It was bad enough already escorting him over without threat, except for that really lame excuse for hostility, and what if her clanmates found out? They wouldn't trust her anymore. Some probably still didn't trust her mother and siblings because of the other blood in them of the lost clan, and then rumors about even having rogue or kittypet blood? Her eyes were filled with disgust and when she realized it, the medicine cat had completely left her herbs back where she first found... Ashpaw, was it? Shaking her head in annoyance at the fact that she even bothered to remember his name, she headed back, and hoped to get rid of the event away from her head, disregarding whatever else he did, stalking off in a really cold way, though underneath all of that, if sensitive enough, was loneliness.
