Rookpaws assessment

"Today is your assessment Rookpaw" Spottedfeather brought the apprentice out of camp, reaching near the heart of Thunderclan territory. "Now, catch me three prey before sunhigh, I will be watching. You may go." she mewed.

OOC: Quick post is quick and short and I so did not forget this :D

Rookpaw nodded at her mentor and ran off. She stopped after a bit and sniffed the air. She caught the smell of a mouse and stalked towards the scent. When she saw it, she crouched in an almost perfect hunting stance and waited a bit. The mouse sniffed the air and Rookpaw sprang, quickly doing away with ths mouse. She buried it and ran off. She caught the scent of a squirrel and saw it. She forgot she was upwind and the squirrel smelt her. She ran towards it and it ran up a nearby tree. The black apprentice growled with frustration and began climbing the tree.

Spottedfeather watched her apprentice through the tree, unseen by her. She noted each move and watched her chase the squirrel.

Rookpaw got closer to the squirrel and reached up and clamped her paw onto it. She threw to the ground, smiling with satisfaction when the squirrel's body went limp from the impact. She buried it and sniffed the air, smelling another mouse. She followed the scent and saw a very plump mouse. She stalked it and pounced, successfully capturing. She did away with it and went back for her other prey. She carried them by their tails.
