Frogkit leaving the nursery

Frogkit leapt out of the nursery before landing awkwardly and landing on his stomach. "Oww..." he moaned before getting back up onto his feet. He started walking over to the fresh-kill pile, tripping on a rock as he did so. "Stupid feet..." he muttered as he got up again.

Hazelpaw was by the fresh kill pile looking for something to eat. It was kinda early and no patrol had come back yet with food. She finally selected a silver fish and turned around. She saw Frogkit coming over and tripping. "H-Hi!" she greeted him.

"Oh Hello! I'm Frogkit. who are you?" Frogkit asked, slightly embarrassed that another cat saw him trip. He wished that he wasn't so clumsy...

"I-I'm Hazelpaw. Do you want to eat together?" she gestured to the fresh kill pile.

Frogkit smiled at Heatherpaw. "Yes please!" he said before leaping forwards and taking a bite of the fish. Then, realising how rude he must have seemed, he said, "Umm... If it's OK with you, of course."

Hazelpaw smiled. Everyone had been so busy lately. "Sure, we can go over there." She walked over to a clearing and lay down. She took a bite of the fish too.

Frogkit followed after Hazelpaw, tripping over twice before reaching her. "My feet are too big," he moaned as he got up the second time.

IC: Hazelpaw felt bad for the little kit. "Well, it could be good for battle. And stealth. The big paws could spread out the sound so you could sneak up silently on prey." she said trying to think of the good things of having big paws. "And frogs are cute." she added trying to sound cheerful. She didn't like it when others were sad.

Frogkit smiled. "So are Hazels" he purred, not actually knowing what an actual frog looked like or what hazel was.

Hazelpaw laughed. "Hazels are small nuts. Which are food. Frogs are little animals that hop around in marshes. But ShadowClan hunts them because they live in the wet, cold marshes. There so rubbery and disgusting but I guess they have nothing else to eat." she said. She had met ShadowClan cats only once at a gathering but hadn't talked to them. They looked the same as the other cats but she had heard stories of them. She shuddered inward to herself.

"Who're ShadeClan? Are they bad?" Frogkit asked, an innocent expression on his face.
