MAN LOOK AT ALL THESE KITTIES

It was in the middle of a clear, warm night when Gingerheart stretched out her legs and made her way to the middle of the camp. It was such a nice night to do whatever she pleased, for the freshkill pile was full, the borders had just been patrolled, and everything just seemed to be perfect. Of course, she wanted to make sure that nothing was still there and she wanted to do something, but there wasn't anything to do. She couldn't train her apprentice at that moment so it was going to be a boring night, but it was too gorgeous to waste!

Thrushstripe padded through the entrance of the camp with a beaming face and a mouth full of frogs and lizards and things. He hadn't caught much, but that was mainly due to the fact that he hadn't been in the territory very long. He only caught enough to keep the pile up before he ate. He felt like he was going to die from starvation if he didn't eat soon, but after he set down his prey, he looked at it proudly before picking up a large, fat toad and taking it towards Gingerheart as he greeted his mother with a small dip of his head. He didn't really talk to her much, but he had always admired her, mainly for her always determined attitude. If only he could talk to Mottlepaw or even Mapleface now, though. He hadn't seen either of them for quite some time tonight and he didn't want to eat alone. "Would you like something to eat, Gingerheart?" He finally asked through the toad in his mouth. He couldn't get over delicious it seemed in just this moment, even though he hadn't even really bitten down into it yet. The smell of it overwhelmed his nose. It was so tempting... He hoped she would give him an answer about it soon.

Gingerheart quickly glanced at Thrushstripe before dipping her head back respectfully. She could now no longer see him as her own kit. He was an equal as well as all of his siblings, including Mottlepaw who had shown her worth in all of the training she has done. The unfortunate thing was that every single time she looked at Thrushstripe, all she could see was Cedarfur. It bothered her to no end to still be stuck on Cedarfur like that to the point that she would make herself furious over the feelings she couldn't get over. It was of no benefit to the clan, and it certainly didn't help her own skills any. It just distracted her and made her weak, but... She now knew just how it felt to be in love. Which was weird to say about a cat that thought she would never get into that kind of thing. She had always been so focused on doing what was best to keep her clan at the top, even as an apprentice. Then her feelings got in the way... "No, thank you Thrushstripe," She replied with little to no emotion in her voice. She didn't mean for it to come out that way, but she couldn't take it back now. She loved her son dearly, but she couldn't let that get in the way again.

Snowkit padded up to Thrushstripe. "You look really tough!" She squeeked. She was vulnerable if he got made at her. Just don't make him mad The voice inside her head said. Stay calm! This is you clanmate for Starclan's sake! The voice eventually convinced her. "How are you so strong and big?" She asked amazed.

Eaglepaw ducked through the thron tunnel, padding past just in time to hear Snowkit's question. "If you think Thrushstripe is big, you should see Shadeclaw." he said calmly, looking towards the kit. "But he's done a lot of training, fighting and hunting to become big."

"W....well.. I am big too!" She sat up trying to be as tall as she could stretch.

Immediately both warriors looked up, Thrushstripe being the main one since his name was mentioned. Instantly, the tom's attention turned to Snowkit before Eaglepaw strode in, his attention suddenly divided between the two cats. It was so cute to see a small kit and even Eaglepaw, but he wasn't convinced that Eaglepaw was in a great mood. "Of course you're big! And you'll grow bigger and stronger the older you get! You could probably even be the greatest hunter this clan has ever seen!" But in his mind, he thought about the honest truth. That being true was a very slim possibility and he knew that he had pretty much just lied to this kit, but whatever. She didn't have to know that~

Snowkit looked at Thrushstripe and sighed. "You're lying. You know I won't be."

OOC: wait... wat. Snowkit wouldn't be able to tell he was lying ;n; she is, after all, only a kit...

OOC: Yes, yes she is. A very smart kit. Like me

OOC: but kits are still too young to be able to pick stuff out like that. Unless she's been lied to so many times in her very young life that she has become an expert, she can't D; kits are supposed to be gullible and stuff. it's what makes them fun to RP ;u;

OOC: *sigh* Fine

IC: Snowpaw looked up. "Really?" She asked excitedly
