A little bit of Maple.

A small squee came from the nursery as a small kit-who was smaller then most that were her age-came racing out, her dark brown paws pounding on the clearing as she stumbled into the middle of the camp. The green eyes of the mostly light brown kit were wide as she whipped her head around the camp; take note of the much larger cats. Her tail was fluffed out in excitement, unsure of what to do first. This had to be Maplekit's first time out of the nursery, but by StarClan she was exited, having not met a lot of cats other then her parents, the other kits and the few warriors and apprentices that would visit from time to time. It would be hard to learn everybody's names thought. Gosh; outside is so huge!

Goldenkit rolled out of the nursery and smacked face-first into Maplekit. "Oh, sorry Maplekit!" she squeaked.

Maplekit; in all of her excitement, hadn't noticed that Goldenkit had followed her into the camp clearing until she felt something ram into her and send her rolling to the ground. Her ears flickered as she glared at the golden kit as she pulled herself to her paws and shook the dust from her pelt. Goldenkit had to be one of her best friends; so she couldn't be mad at her. "It's fine, Goldenkit. No harm done; right?"

"Right!" she replied. She surveyed the camp carefully; and noticed a big pile of moss just sort of.. sitting there, in the corner of the camp. She bounced over to it, scraping it into a ball, and hurled it at Maplekit, hitting her right in the face.

The small kit let out a gasp as she saw the green ball come hurling at her. She had gotten distracted by the large camp when Goldenkit ran off; and so hadn't notice that she had thrown the moss ball at her. The ball of moss hit her square in the face before rolling to the ground, leaving a wide-eyed Maplekit to stare at it. She swallowed, a bit annoyed that she had gotten surprised by a ball of moss. With a soft growl, she swept it up with her paw and threw it as hard as she could at Goldenkit, a grin on her face. She was so getting her back for that.

Goldenkit was swept off of her tiny feet by the ball, sent backwards a few feet. She leapt to her feet, grinning, and ran over to where the ball had landed. She scraped some more moss onto it to make it even bigger, and hurled it back at Maplekit.

Another gasp came from Maple as she ducked, the larger moss ball sailing over her head. She sat up straight; her eyes narrowed. That was it. This. Was. War. She spun around and grabbed the moss ball and threw it back at Goldenkit; as hard as she could; but due to her much smaller size, that wasn't really hard.

Goldenkit charged the ball, careening directly into it, bouncing off of her head and straight back towards Maplekit. This is war, betch!

Huh; that was new. Maplekit blinked when she saw Goldenkit bounce it off her head. Swiping her paw into the air, the tiny kit grabbed the ball in her small claws, before hurling it back at Goldenkit, letting out a laugh. She would never have this much fun in the nursery!

Even though it probably looked awesome, it had a couple of side effects. As she was trying to clear her head, she was sent backwards by the ball careening into her. She leapt to her feet, hurling it at Maplekit once again.

Maplekit smiled with pride as Goldenkit was thrown backwards, her tail flickering. Ha; take that! She was going to win this little war! However; all caught up in the moment, she hadn't noticed the large moss ball come back toward her; which smacked her once again right in the face. However; due to it being larger, it caused her to stumble backwards, before falling onto her back. She sighed, shaking her head as she glanced at the moss ball next to her. Curse her smaller size; she hated being smaller the most of her denmates. Rolling to her paws, she grabbed the moss ball in her front paws and rolled it around for a bit, before hook it on her claw and throwing it across the clearing and at Goldenkit.

Goldenkit grinned wildly, jumping out of the way, the ball whizzing past her. She bolted back towards it. "Oh, no you don't!" She flung it at the kit, grinning.

The ball of moss nailed Maplekit in the face again and she fell over with a gasp. However this time she didn't get up; instead she rolled on the ground laughing; her tail-tip flickering. "Alright; fine! I give up; you win this game; Goldenkit!"
