"Attention passengers on the Jewel of the Seas. We have been caught in some rather horrible weather. We will be taking a short cut to get to our destination before the weather can really hit."A short cut. That's quite fine, right? Usually, a short cut brings you closer to your destination; less wait time and less travel. However, you'll soon be wishing you just sat through the weather; let it blow over. Because on this fateful night, the Captain chose to take a short cut through the Bermuda Triangle- the Triangle known for the paradox happenings inside it. Once you go in, you
never come out.
It was not long before entering the Triangle before the GPS system started being faulty. Panic arose in the wheel house, but it wasn't until the engine gave out did the crew tell the passengers what was happening. Strangely, however, every other appliance worked; the kitchens, the machines, the appliances... everything except the things that would help them to escape. Knowing they were trapped, they lowered the anchor.
Panic arose throughout the ship. Questions rang out; "What are we going to do?" "How are we going to survive?" "What's next?". To help answer this question, all adults over the age of 18 were called to the Entertainment Hall. There, it was decided that they would send out a small search party on one of the life boats to maybe make their way out. They were given little food, and set out within minutes. In the same meeting, it was decided that the food would be rationed out. The panic began to reside for a few days, until it was clear the search party would not return. Another meeting was called, and after hours of debates and fights, a system was worked out. They would start a new civilization.
For now, it was decided that this new civilization would be a dictatorship with the Captain as the leader, the Staff Captain as second in command. The First Officer was put in charge of giving people jobs- to be helped by the Second Officer. The Safety and Security directors were put in charge of the safety of the new ship. Respectively, all head leaders of each different department was decided to be in charge of the people that are assigned to the job. It was also decided that anyone over the age of 15 (that was not already part of the crew)were to report the next day to the front desk to receive verbal tests and assigned to jobs and shifts. All kids under the age of 15 were to report to the Kids Zone until an education system could be worked out. The Captain was very pleased with this idea, and took it upon himself to name the new country-Jewel of the Seas- after the name of the ship.
The system was just put into place, and you are either part of the starting crew, an adult (15 and older), or a minor (15 and under). You still aren't used to the system, but you know it'll have to work out somehow... Or are you completely against it?
