YOU KNOW WHAT

The battle had been won. They were finally able to go home. This was the greatest day of Gingerheart's life. As she slowly padded into the camp, er eyes grew wide from excitement and relief to be back home and out of Riverclan. She could finally feel at peace again, although she had no idea what the Deos could have messed io if they found Shadowclan's camp. Yet everything seemed to be in place. Well, from the clearing. The feeling of weariness suddenly washed over her as she stepped I to camp, letting out a huge sigh of relief and pure joy. They were home. "Oh thank Starclan!" She breathed. "We can go back to normal!"

Shadekit followed behind closely. She looked left then right her ears laid flat as she expected something to attack.

Rustfang, being the young and still obnoxious warrior he was, exploded past Gingerheart into camp. He was behind Shadekit, so he didn't really push anyone out of the way. As he bolted past Gingerheart, he slid and rolled into the mud. He purred.

Fallencloud padded cautiously behind Gingerheart, her ears swiveling anxiously to detect something that would prepare her for what she would see. Her grey coat was plastered with mud, the sticky feeling of it warm against her skin - but at that moment it was not the burden of trekking through the marsh on a warm day, it was the pride and joy of a homecoming, a familiar expectation that caused cats to do odd things. Fallencloud was one such cat, and as she spotted the familiar array of dens, the long, sharp cliff of the Jagged Rock, she too was lost inside herself - and for once the she-cat wasn't haunted by the sinister expression of Anna, the Deomilite who mocked her and stole her home. Fallencloud herself had, through maybe what was a little bit of ShadowClan cruelty, secured her revenge on her beaten corpse. It made her feel stronger - that she had fought in a battle and survived with scars. The long diagonal scar that ran across her chest tingled as she stepped through the entrance.

She purred in amusement as Rustfang sprinted past her, and Fallencloud worked up the courage to do the same, sliding in the mud past the older warrior. The mud caked onto her pelt even more, but the she-cat paid it no mind. Nothing mattered at the moment but their home. She beckoned with her tail for Gingerheart to do the same, and she smiled for the first time since their retreat.

Shadekit watched the warriors before leaping and rolling in the mud with them.

Rustfang purred as the two younger cats slide past him, and he pushed himself along the mud towards them. He splashed some of the extra soupy mud towards the pair, a purr rumbling loudly in his throat.

Shadekit squealed happily as she splashed some mud on rustfang.

Gingerheart smiled as she saw the cats enjoying themselves in their old home, and she would have totally join them had she not felt so bad due to the injuries she had sustained during the fight. Granted she hadn't gotten many scratches, but they burned. It didn't feel right, but she just figured that they always hurt that much and that it was simply how she felt because the excitement of the battle had passed. She was just glad to be home!

Sagestar was simply exhausted.
He had had ShadowClan stay in RiverClan camp one final night to have their wounds treated, but the leader himself had gotten no rest. The tom insisted on simply slapping a few cobwebs on him, only to go out and give Amalric a proper burial with whomever in ShadowClan chose to come; he just wished that there was enough time to have given him a proper burial as well. After they'd settle and the day passed, though, he could get up again and go find Joanna - do the same for her. Amalric would want that for her, Sagestar figured.

"StarClan, it's good to be home!" The tom grinned, tired, but looking as relieved and excited as the rest of his clan. He nodded to each of his clanmates, flicking Gingerheart happily with the end of his tail. He paused behind Shadekit, licking the little one on the back of his head, "You're going to get the nursery filthy." He purred, teasing the small kit.
He was happy this little one would have a future in the Clan. They all would. ShadowClan would live on strong.

Nightwing padded up next to Sagestar and walked without care of the puddles she once watched out for. Her eyes sweaped over her clanmates. They had all made it home. Back to where they belong. Her blue gaze rested on Rustfang, he was having quite a fun time splashing the younger cats, wait. That isn't fair! Purring with amusement, she started faster, breaking into a run after Rustfang, spite her tired limbs. It felt good to be back home. She knew every puddle, every blade of grass! "Hey! Why don't you pick on someone your own size!" She shouted to her mate, then play-tackled him into the mud. Perhaps she was still just a little bit, a young cat. At least... compared to Sagestar. Man, did he look tired and worn out. It is going to be a while before he gets back to normal. She thought for a quick moment, then turned her thought onto the play fight with Rustfang. Dragging a paw in the mud as they slowed to a stop. Lifting that paw, she threw it upwards, like she had seen the RiverClan cats yank their fish out of the water. Hey, you learn something knew every day right?

Shadekit stopped playing in the mud and looked at Sagestar and smiled. She then continued to play in the mud. She ran at Nightwing and leaped at her playfully.

Fallencloud purred as she watched her former mentor join them in the clearing, smiling at Gingerheart as she remained where she was. He was pleased to see Sagestar, though the she-cat noticed the look of exhastion on him. She hadn't slept much herself in RiverClan, and she was sure that none of ShadowClan really did, but rest didn't really matter to her at the moment. All she could think of were the nice frogs out in their marshes just waiting to be caught - and the mud in her fur and the purrs of her clanmates.

She flicked more mud towards Shadekit, playfully swatting her paw at the kit.

Shadekit giggled and batted back at Fallencloud.

Nightwing purred as the kitten tried to get her, and then the weight was knocked off of her by Fallencloud, she leaped to her paws and pounced on Rustfang.like;; Get up and post! >:u The mud felt cool in her fur, and she honestly didn't mind the earthly substance that decided to cling to her long black and white fur. Of course she knew that she would have a 'fun' Morning trying to get the brown stuff out of her pelt. But that didn't matter to her at the moment.

Midnightpaw (or kit. Idk what she is or blahrg. im going with paw.) padded into the camp slowly, a sense of happiness filling her. She was home; no more smelly camp that always seemed damp. No more fishy smells in the air. She was back in her home, with her clan. Filled with renewed energy, she turned in small circles, taking in the area she had not seen in a long time.
