Light reflected off the water like ribbons from the moon, as Berrysplash lied out next to the river. The greying she-cat dipped her paw in the water, stirring it gently as she stared into space. Her sightless eyes were dull, the usual sparkle in them absent. A huge battle was being fought, possibly the biggest in the history of the clans, yet all she could do was sit in the camp. Be a burden, another mouth to feed, while she could do nothing in return to help. "Look what I've become. A blind, tick-infested lump." She murmured to herself.
Berrysplash tried to remember the good times of her life, but they were blurred and faded. Closing her eyes, she concentrated, and was able to make out some of her memories. Her, at her apprentice ceremony. She was so happy, so excited to serve her clan. Berrysplash's eyes started to tear up as she thought of her mother. It was a memory she had repressed for a long time, being unable to get away from the sadness. She shut her eyes tight. I miss you so much.
Suddenly, she started to feel lightheaded, and weak. Berrysplash knew what was happening to her. It was time. She welcomed the feeling, and a warmth grew inside her, spreading all over. She then could no longer feel the ground beneath herself. Opening her eyes, she could see, and was filled with joy as she saw her mother. She jumped to her paws with new energy, and nuzzled her mother. She before she motioned for Berrysplash to follow her. The she-cat looked back towards her old self for one last time, before following her mother into StarClan.
OoC: Wow. I made this really long. And emotional.
