Mintkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Lionstar leaped onto the Highrock, giving out the usual call: "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the Highrock for a Thunderclan meeting."

Today Thunderclan welcomed a brand new apprentice. One who seemed very eager for this moment for quite a while.

Mosspelt raised his head from where he had been cleaning himself near the warriors den. He figured it was a ceremony and trotted over, sitting in his usual spot.

Mintkit raced over. She looked up at her leader with sparkling eyes. She already groomed herself so her pelt looked glossy and clean. She wondered who her mentor was going to be.

Embershade padded out of the warriors den and into the clearing. Ooh. A new apprentice! She thought, her eyes wide with excitement. Maybe she could an apprentice.

OOC: Yeah, if you need a mentor, I could be one, Ice... Cause Swift went inactive, and... Yep. Just helping out.

OOC: Sure! If Lionstar said you can!

Ooc: That would be great. The thought was bugging me a little, thanks.

Ic: Lionstar looked down, a glint in his eyes as they traveled over, pausing on sight of Mintkit. "Mintkit, please step forward." He meowed from where he stood. The sun glinted off his yellow fur, making it look golden, his dark eyes of orange seemed to note at something, possibly a bit of excitement at, finally, a new Thunderclan apprentice.

This is good, my clan is growing, Lionstar thought, though other than that, his face showed no emotion as always. The Thunderclan leader was always the quiet type, seeing no reason to bother or worry his clanmates unless it was certainly important.

Mintkit quivered as she stepped forward. A surge of excitement rushed through her. In moments her new name would be Mintpaw.

"Mintkit, you have reached the age of six moons and as clan-custom it is time for you to become an apprentice. Until she has earned her full name, she shall be known as Mintpaw." Lionstar announced.

"Embershade, I feel you are ready for your second apprentice. You are clever and very skilled; an honored warrior of Thunderclan. I know you'll pass on all you know to Mintpaw as her mentor." He finished, flicking his tail tip.

"Mintpaw! Mintpaw!" The Thunderclan leader cheered, wondering in slight curiosity if anyone would join in. The clan was beginning to seem a bit quiet now a days.

"Mintpaw! Mintpaw!" Embershade cheered, stepping forward to touch noses to her apprentice.

Mintpaw felt really excited. She Touched noses with her mentor and couldn't wait to train.
