Morningpaw's Battle Practice

Lionstar sat down on the dusty ground of the Sandy Hollow, waiting patiently for his apprentice, Morningpaw. Today they were doing a bit of battle practice, and Lionstar hoped she would get here soon so they could start.

The apprentice woke starting with the loud snores of her fellow clan mates, and found herself lacking the ability to fall back into winding wonders of the dream world. So there was no reason on why she was late, even if it was only a minute. Maybe it was the fact her piece of prey had been quite enjoyed, or possibly the fact her nerves kept her away from the guiding eyes of her mentor, due to the fact she wanted only to please her leader. To prove her worthiness of Warrior-hood and her willingness to serve her clan.

With an almost out-of-breath gasp, the young cat bounded up to the leader, loosing a bit of her kit-like energy by each night fall. She dipped her head with respect, before waiting for her directions for today.

"Right on time." The leader purred in satisfaction. "Good. I didn't want to have to wait. Today we're practicing some battle moves. This will be an important lesson, so pay attention." Lionstar explained, getting to his paws.

"Let's start with something easy. This is called Front Paw Strike, which goes like this-" The bright-furred tom reared up on his hind paws, swiping the air with his fore paws quickly and fast before jumping backward back on fours. "...A simple move." He meowed, nodding to show it was her turn to try.
