POKEMON GENERATION 6 ANNOUNCEMENT

But it used Psywave in the trailer ;_;

Oh well. Maybe a later evolution.

It may just be able to learn Psywave. Persian can learn Water Pulse. Rhyperior can learn Surf. Ferrothorn can learn Thunderbolt. Stranger shet has happened. ;u;

The only non-Psychic Pokemon that can learn it though have been Ghost or Poison.

And I'm totally only doing this because I want to believe that it's Fire/Psychic ;_;

I am so excited for the new pokemon 3D games...Especially these, which are supposed to e better than Pokemon Rumble Blast, and that was a pretty fun game :3

A part of me died inside when I first heard Mystery Dungeon was going to be in 3D.

I was disappointed when I found out Mystery Dungeon was going to be in 3D. I personally like the charming 2D cute little overworld sprites in those games.

In contrast, I'd love to see the main games in 3D. The trailer for X and Y (which I believe to be decent names) was beautifully executed. I personally loved the ending with the new cover legendaries. I love the gorgeous deer-like pokemon. Xerneas is also a decent name for it, so I'm happy.
I'll definitely get Pokemon X (just for Xerneas) and I will probably choose Fennekin, the fire-type starter. I don't really like Fennekin as much as the charming japanese-folk-tale-based Vulpix, but I definitely prefer it to Zorua (not to mention the other new starters).
I completely agree with Sleepy, I hope Fennekin will be Fire/Psychic.
The only thing I'm wondering about are the game mechanics. How will they be changed, if at all?

I think that Pokemon Mystery Dungeon would look nice in 3D. Charming little 2D? I think it looks much better with more Rumble-blast graphics.

I can definitely see Fennekin as being Fire/Psychic, or at least its evolutionary forms. This is because it was shown using psywave, which--as Sleepy noted--is only learned by Psychic, Ghost, and Poison types. I can hardly see Gamefreak breaking this trend for such a weak move and while I can envision a cool Fire/Ghost type (Fire/Poison isn't even worth mentioning 4x ground weak... Ugh), Gamefreak is hardly going to do something so innovative (plus they already have the Chandelure family). Therefore, Fennekin, or at least its evolutions (due to gamefreak's meddling), has a high chance of being Fire/Psychic.

And Minty, those 2D sprites were charming.

I think it is going to be awesome in 3d. I love pokemon so this is going to be a blast. They also have the new legendary (correct me on spelling) Xearneas and yeviltil.

Fenniken is probably going fire/psychic. The only other thing i could imagine it being (meaning evolutions) is fire/ghost as van noted, though i hope it isn't because fire/ghost would make the evolution look like chandalure in fox form ):
