| The starters don't really appeal to me for this. They really have troubles just to make starters. >.> Then again, I don't have really bright ideas right now, so I shouldn't be saying anything about it.
I'm surprised they are making a Gen. 6 so soon though. Black and White 2 came out a couple months ago, and now they started making a Gen. 6 in 3D. I am getting sick of the new Pokemon actually. Generations 1 - 3: Amazing, so original and lovely! Though I do have problems with some of the Pokemon in there like Voltorb and Electrode, but another story later. Gen 4 - Not as great as the first 3 generations, but really tolerable. Honestly, pretty good Generation. The Legends and starters and Pokemon weren't that bad at all. Though not as much as how I felt for the first 3. Gen 5 - OK, what just happened here? It kinda went down hill. Some of the Pokemon were tolerable, but really? Many of the ideas aren't as original. Vanillite and its evolutions are Ice Cream. OK, I love eating ice cream and all, but that would make the Pokemon delictable. Also, I think it was Klink (?) that had evolutions that just had added parts. Not much of a difference. Gen 6 - Now, it barely came out with just the 2 Legendaries and the starters, but already it seems kinda bad. The trailer was impressive, but the Pokemon seem ridiculous to me. Chestpin kinda looks like a Grass-type Oshawott, Fennekin (I think that's what's it name) is a combo of Vulpix and Zorua, but doesn't have that spark like the other fire types from Gens 1 - 4. Froakie, really? It's kinda ridiculous by the name. OK, the "X" legend is actually pretty tolerable to me, but it looks like a Dialga and Virizon combined with some Ho-oh for the shine. The "Y" legend however, is just ridiculous. I know the two are supposed to represent their letter, but too many flying Legendaries already. Too many birds. The "X" didn't necessarily look like its letter, but "Y" shows it too much.
You can argue back with me, I'm just stating my opinion. >.< ______________________________________ ‣ year 06: 5/4/2012 ⌈ la-veritta ♡ ⌉ ❝ Until the day his wings heal and he's able to fly... I will protect him. ❞ |

- - - How can you honestly judge Generation V for making a couple of dumb and poorly designed Pokemon when Generation I was doing the exact same thing? You can't judge either Generation based off of just a couple of their Pokemon. Generation I and V were full of interesting and cool Pokemon, so I don't see how Diglett or Vanilluxe sours the entire thing and makes them unoriginal. :U And there's more to a Pokemon game than it's monsters, at that. They've been slowly adding and improving mechanics to improve the series so people could enjoy them more. To judge Generation VI because of a trailer that featured five Pokemon just seems foolish. ______________________________________ ‹‹ former site administrator ›› pm me

| There's really no comparing Diglett to an ice cream cone, but anyway... the point I think we all want to make is that the majority of Gen. V pokemon were just plain ugly. They were awful to look at, and no one would want to pick them up. |

| Well no one really knows what's under Diglett, for all we know it could be ice cream. cx ______________________________________ - Heathernose:

| I know, but I just felt that Generation V didn't have as much original ideas. >.>
I understand that some of the Pokemon are original even if their design is simple despite the fact that I think they are a bit unoriginal and strange.
Yes, I did enjoy the Pokemon Black and White games quite a bit because it was different. I just didn't enjoy and feel the spark in the Pokemon as much. I really just thought they weren't as original. Like I said, it's an opinion of mine.
I really get your point Sleepy that Generation I was doing that too, but it just seemed better. I actually did mention the fact about me not liking how some of the Pokemon in the first three Generations. I mentioned it right in that first post of mine.
I shouldn't be judging Generation VI yet, but I just think it might not like how liked Pokemon back when I was younger (2-3 years ago). I've lost my interest in the new Pokemon because I just don't think they are as original and designed as well as some of the really good ones were in Generations I - III.
Please, it's just an opinion. We don't have to argue about this. In fact, I probably shouldn't have thrown that first post in anyway. I do agree they had interesting and cool Pokemon, but I just don't like some of them, which really ruins the experience for me.
Not saying I actually play because of the Pokemon I like, it's more of me trying to choose the ones I want on a team. I'm not picky and go with all the super cute ones. Remember that Dream Pokemon Team thing? I added Mamoswine, Dusknoir, etc. People rather chose their favorites. I went for a balanced team rather than a cool one. I just think that some of Generation V's Pokemon were either too powerful, fast, etc. or too weak, slow, etc.
OK, I'm done. Please, this shouldn't go into an argument. Kathxbai. ______________________________________ ‣ year 06: 5/4/2012 ⌈ la-veritta ♡ ⌉ ❝ Until the day his wings heal and he's able to fly... I will protect him. ❞ |

| The new legendaries have been named! The Dialga deer is Xerneas and the bird thing is Yveltal. |

When the very definition of the word is "new" and "inventive." How are those not as original as Altaria, Donaphan, or Kangaskhan? - Tias (Echo) wrote:

I saw that, but then you contradicted yourself by saying that Generation V was unoriginal for doing the same exact things. You're still saying that, but you haven't explained yourself. Why does Generation I get a free pass? How is it that they can make something like Ditto but Generation V can't or else the entire game is insulted by the entire fanbase? And it's now somehow "better" when Generation I does it? - Tias (Echo) wrote:

So if you don't like some of the Pokemon in Generation I - III, does that ruin the rest of the experiences of those games for you? Or is it just "better" because they're Generation I - III and Generation V is not? ljlkjsalkjg;asklgj I understand this is all your opinion and I can't argue with something that comes down to personal taste and it'd be best for me to stop, but damn I'll have to try. ______________________________________ ‹‹ former site administrator ›› pm me |

I had made a reasonable, mature post about how I was on both sides and how I Completely understood both of you, just trying to point out what may seem wrong with gen V(I did enjoy it, nevertheless) then I accidentally hit the exit button, therefor deleting all of it when i was simply trying to open a new tab to look how to spell a certain pokemon name ;-;

| -.-; Please, let's just stop this. It's not that I'm giving Generation I a free pass, I just think they had better designs. I also think that Generation I was like the base point of many Pokemon of the next Generations. I already stated my opinion.
Now, Generations I - III did have Pokemon I didn't like, but they were pretty good to use Pokemon. Generation V also had Pokemon I didn't like, but I thought some of them were pretty good.
Now enough, I just didn't enjoy Generation V as much as I used to enjoy Pokemon, so I'm not as psyched for Generation VI.
I'm not going to reply anymore on this thread Sleepy, do I won't argue back anymore. Most of my reasons are opinions anyway. ______________________________________ ‣ year 06: 5/4/2012 ⌈ la-veritta ♡ ⌉ ❝ Until the day his wings heal and he's able to fly... I will protect him. ❞ |

| You seem to have your nostalgia goggles on too tight, and they have fogged up and obstructed your view of anything else. The First Gen Pokemon had very simplistic design, since they were the first Pokemon, while Gen 5 had unique and complicated design. Like, come on. You seriously think a pink blob with a blank face is better designed than the Gen 5 Pokemon. I love Gen 1, however, since it's Pokemon are still lovable. Just saying their design is better than Sugamori's prime drawings is just dumb. ______________________________________ i used to administrate but the man tore me down
