Seeing Midnightkit :3

One again Gingerheart was off duty from guarding the border. It was quite a boring job. You would think that if these rogues were in the Skyclan territory, they would have attacked by now. But either way, the young warrior was prepared. And until then, she was going to see the kits. She enjoyed being with them and watching them play, especially Midnightkit. She slowly poked her head into the nursery and looked around for the small she-kit. Midnightkit. You there?"

"I'm here." came a soft reply. A moment later, Midnightkits small fluffy body pounced for Gingerhearts nose, landing in the dirt right in front of the she-cat. "Hi Gingerheart!" Midnightkit squeaked.

"Oh hello there Midnightkit!" She replied, bouncing backwards and then lying on the ground to get a better view of he kit. "What are you up to, silly?"

"Oh..nothing." Midnightkit said mischievously. She dropped back into a playful pounce, her tail flicking slightly behind her. "What are you up to?"

"I'm see what you're doing," she replied with a kit-like excitement. "You aren't up to something, are you?" She asked, watching Midnightkil happily.

Midnightkit dropped onto her stomach, her tail curling around her paws as she looked up at Gingerheart with faux-innocent eyes. "Why would I be up to anything?" she asked sweetly.

The warrior laughed. "Because all kits are up to something! And you aren't an exception," she purred. "But to keep you out if trouble, would you want to play with a moss ball?" It was one of the several thc ngs she remembered about kithood. Moss balls were her friends.

her ears perked up at the sound of moss ball "Sure!!" Midnightkit said, jumping to her feet in excitement. She twirled around in a circle, looking for the one she had been playing with earlier, but, sadly, could not find it.

With an excited laugh, she crawled into the nursery and picked up a small batch of moss into her paws. Rolling it around between her paws and packing it tight. Y pouncing on it one good time, the moss formed a small ball that Gingerheart quickly hatted towards Midnightkit. It was only when she actually made the ball did she remember just how much she missed playing, but she knew she couldn't do it much for she was a warrior. Warriors don't play with each other like this.

Her tail twitching excitedly behind her, Midnightkit pounded at the moss ball, somehow managing to send it flying back into Gingerhearts direction. When it rolled back over to Gingerheart, Midnightkit dropped into a pouncing position, her eyes dark as she watched the ball.

Gingerheart quickly caught the little ball as it rolled back to her. It was so funny to see Midnightkit's reaction to the moss ball and the warrior was happy to play along. Giving her a mischievous look, Gingerheart quickly batted it back at the kit just to see what she did with it.

Her eyes fixated on the ball of moss, Midnightkit let out a small growl as she pounced on it, securing it underneath her paws. Feeling a hint of satisfaction, Midnightkit hooked a claw into the ball of moss and flipped it back towards Gingerhearts direction.

"Wow, you're really good at this, Midnightkit!" Gingerheart purred as she continued to play with the kit. It was so amazing to see so much life in such a little body. With a smile, the warrior decided to try to hit it harder to see if Midnightkit could still keep up with it. But, in doing so, the ball rolled away, completely missing its target before it rolled and stuck in the thorns that made up the camp wall. "Mouse dung..." She muttered.

"I got it!!!" Midnightkit peeped, a determined look sketched upon her face. She padded carefully over to the wall and started poking the moss ball loose with her paw. Every now and then a thorn would catch the pad of her paw and snag at it but, after a few moments of patient concentration, Midnightkit managed to get it a safe distance away from the thorns. Then, she picked it up in her mouth and proudly padded back over to Gingerheart, her head held high.

"Great job! You're so brave, going against evil thorns like that!" She mewed with a laugh. It was funny how much Midnightkit acted like Gingerheart did when she was a kit, but at the same time, they had completely different personalities. Gingerheart was never really afraid to confront anyone unless she knew it was someone she was supposed to respect whereas Midnightkit was a little shy. But, it's not like that mattered much. Either way, Gingerheart knew that this young kit was going to be a wonderful warrior. As Midnightkit brought the ball back, the warrior gave her a curious look. "Do you still want to play with it?" She asked.
