Brightkit's MCA Ceremony

"Oh. Right. Hello, I'm Brightkit." She looked around at all the strange cats and moved closer to Morningfur. "Where are we?"

"StarClan," Morningfur said happily, looking around at all the cats again. "Are you ready to get your name?"

Brightkit nodded, hesitantly. She didn't imagine StarClan would be this scary. All the strange cats seemed to be staring at her. The pressure was getting to her.

Morningfur turned to face Brightkit. "Brightpaw, is it your wish to enter into the mysteries of StarClan as a medicine cat?"

Brightkit straightened herself. "Yes it is." she mewed, a strong tone tinged at her voice.

Morningfur's gaze swept the crowd. "Warriors of StarClan, I present to you this apprentice. She has chosen the path of a medicine cat. Grant her your wisdom and insight so that she may understand your ways and heal her Clan in accordance with your will."

BrightPAW (cx) gazed around her, feeling slightly older now that the ceremony was done. She couldn't wait to get started. "Thank you so much." she said to Morningfur.

Morningfur nodded. "I will come to ThunderClan tomorrow to discuss with Lionstar the plans to train you," she said.

Brightpaw nodded and before she knew it she was waking up in the cave that housed the Moonstone.

Morningfur blinked her eyes open. She stood and stretched, her muscles stiff form lying on the hard, cold floor.

Lionstar looked at them. "Did it go well?" He asked. He knew he couldn't specifically ask what happened, as it is secret, but he wanted to make sure everything went as planned. A simple "yes" or "no" was fine.

"Yes, of course," Morningfur said. "May I come to your camp tomorrow and discuss how we will work the training ordeal out?"

Lionstar nodded. "Of course. You'll be welcome in our camp from now until Brightpaw earns her full name." He purred.

"Thank you, Lionstar," Morningfur meowed with a nod to the leader.
