Let's Liven This Place Up |D

Gingerheart sat in camp. It was finally her time to rest since she had been doing her job at the border for so long, and she was thankful for it. But the longer she sat in camp, the more bored she became. No wonder it was better to be in the territory. Nothing was really happening in the camp. It was almost completely vacant save a cat walking through... maybe. With a sigh, the young she-cat trotted towards the fresh-kill pile and quickly picked up a lizard in her jaws. It was good to finally get food, but it wasn't any fun to dine alone...

Softwhisper flew in to the rescue. His day had also been stressful and teh borings, because all he had done was hunt for herbs. It was boring, tedious work, and he was tired. He collapsed contentedly at the fresh-kill pile, also taking a lizard. It wasn't big, but he didn't begrudge his Clan mates of anything fulfilling. "Hello Gingerheart," He said, a bit aloof.

The young she-cat quickly looked up at Softwhisper joined her. It was strange to see him actually want to be around her sinceshe hadn't really gotten any good vibes from him lately. She couldn't really seem to figure out the medicine cat. "Hello Softwhisper," she replied happily with a slight mouthful of her meal. "How has your day been?"

Softwhisper hadn't really remembered that he and Gingerheart had disagreements of late. He was either not smart enough to hold a grudge successfully or simply too nice. After taking a bite of lizard, he said, "Oh, as it always is. I've had a long but prosperous day picking herbs." He sighed a bit. "How have you been?"

"Boring!" She whined before quickly finishing her meal. "No one is really here anymore and o don't think that border we have with Skyclan could be watched any harder." She sighed deeply as she thought about the business of the camp lately. Ever since Sagestar had told Shadowclan to be on guard, nothing had happened. She was beginning to doubt whether Amalric was telling the truth.

Fallenpaw squirmed in her nest, finding herself too restless to sleep. Nightwing must have been out of camp, she assumed. She padded toward the entrance of the empty apprentice den, wondering what she should do...maybe she could bring some fresh-kill to Mallowpaw, that was always entertaining. After becoming an apprentice, she realized that she had more responsibility - taking care of her clanmates as they took care of her when she was limited to the nursery. Fallenpaw bounded out of the den, taking an absent glance around the clearing. She noticed Softwhisper, the medicine-cat and Mallowpaw's mentor, and Gingerheart eating in the clearing, sharing conversation. She didn't know Softwhisper, save for a few short occasions in each other's presence and some mutters of complaint that Mallowpaw said under his breath. She walked toward the medicine den to check if Mallowpaw was there before she took him prey, before a loud growl emitted from her stomach. Her face flushed, and she lingered in her position for a few seconds. She hadn't caught any prey for her clan and Nightwing had not assigned her any tasks...was it alright to eat now?

Since Softwhisper didn't seem to be in the mood to answer, Gingerheart quickly went back to eating although her meal was practically gone now. All that was left was the little bones of what was a lizard. With a sigh, she simply looked down at it until the sound of Fallenpaw had grabbed her attention. "Oh, hello Fallenpaw. What are you up to?" She asked curiously, hoping to have someone to talk to. It would be nice to actually get to know the other cats since she wasn't very familiar with many of them, especially this little apprentice here.
