She looked up with a smile, she enjoyed their courage to speak up "Thank you, but it is now the leaders word." She meowed.

Morningpaw was rather surprised at the news, and thought the punishment was a little harsh, but she didn't speak up. It wasn't her place. All she could do was wait and listen for Froststar's final decision.

Redpaw glanced around at every one near him. Then he stared at the ground and shuffled his paws.

"I'm sorry, but I don't think there is another way. Greyheart, you've broken the warrior code. You chose another cat over your clan. If we happened to fight WindClan, would you be able to hurt Falconfang? I don't know if you could. You're aware of your sin, and I know you understand... And please understand that I'm only doing this for the good of the clan." She dipped her head for a moment. It was easy to see the grief in the she-cat's eyes, but also the belief she was doing to right thing. RiverClan couldn't afford any battle that Greyheart might provoke, and the code was there to protect the clan.
"I know most of you don't think what I'm doing is right. I could be wrong, and I might be to harsh, but I have to do what I believe is best for RiverClan, and right now, the best thing I can do is exiling you, Greyheart. I'm sorry. My apology means nothing, but I'm sorry." She shook her head slowly. Looking around at the clan, Froststar finally focused her attention on the ex-warrior. "Please leave." She whispered, no anger in her eyes. Only the heavy knowledge that she was getting rid of a strong and free spirited clanmate.
For a moment Froststar debated on whether or not someone should escort Greyheart off, but she decided against it. She trusted the warrior wouldn't stay on RiverClan territory. The she-cat had understood the weight of what she had done. She wouldnt challenge that.
Jumping of the rock, Froststar slipped into her den without another word, calling off the meeting, feeling eyes on her.

Greyheart bowed her head tears staining her cheeks and pelted out of the camp.

Reedpaw was full of anger. She couldn't do that! It was wrong! Reedpaw started to storm away to his den, not daring to look at any of his Clanmates. Especially not Greyheart. What Froststar did was wrong. The Code was wrong if it'd let such things as these pass... He pushed into his den without a word. He needed a rest.

"Greyheart..." Morningpaw mumbled, watching her run out of camp. She felt sad and pained to see her go. It wasn't right, but she couldn't question her leader.

Morningpaw stood and padded to the Leader's Den entrance. "Froststar?" she called softly.

Redpaw couldn't watch. If cats couldn't love cats from other clans, then why could they be forced to leave? He turned away, burying his nose in Frostleaps shoulder for a moment. Then he turned and followed the angry Reedpaw. Redpaw's head was bowed and his tail sagged behind him. It left a line on the ground as he slipped into the Apprentice Den.

Froststar was curled up in a ball in the corner of her den. "Morningpaw, come in." She meowed, tired and emotionless. While everyone was so upset with her, Froststar herself was second guessing it all. Even so, she couldn't go back. And she still fully believed what she did was right. Even if no one else agreed, she has put her clan first, and did what she believed was best.
"They all hate me right now, don't they? I took away a beloved clanmate from them, and now they hate me. They should. But I think I did the right thing... Do you? It doesn't matter anyway. It's to late to call Greyheart back." She looked up, eyes conflicted. Standing to her paws, she straightened up and faced her sister. "This has grown into quite the mess. What is it you need?" she questioned, putting up another polite facade.

"I just wanted to talk," Morningpaw said, answering Froststar's last question first. She padded up to her and sat down next to her. "I don't think they hate you. They are just really shocked at what Greyheart did and they just lost a friend. They will come to understand that you did what you saw fit."

Froststar nodded slowly, seemingly unconvinced. "Perhaps. I just hope this doesn't cause problems in RiverClan bigger than we can handle. I feel as though I did the right thing for us... But only time will tell." She dipped her head.
"It'll be a much darker place without Greyheart." She murmured, dropping her head to her paws.
