Declaw's second kit

Dewclaw sat in the Nursery, the gray queen wrapped around an adorable bundle of white and brown fur. She had just recently had a new kit, which I did not post a topic about because birth topics are weirddddd.

"Hi, Dewclaw!" Emberpaw called from the entrance of the nursery.

"Hello, Emberpaw." She dipped her head in greeting after looking up from her kit. "How have you been?"

Acornkit mewed softly and pawed at her mother's tail. Her big honey golden eyes fluttered open as she again mewed at her mother," Mama?" She quietly called for her mother.

Acornkit glanced over to the entrance and then nestled herself further toward her mother. The strange cat in the entrance of the nursery made her uneasy.

"I've been good, Dewclaw! Who is that?" Emberpaw asked pointing her tail at Acornkit.

"I'm here," Dewclaw said softly to her kit. "This is Acornkit. I had her yesterday." She introduced. "It's ok, this is Emberpaw. She won't hurt you." Dewclaw said to Acornkit.

"She's so cute!" Emberpaw exclaimed.

Lionstar looked up from where he was sitting by the fresh-kill pile. He got up and sat nearby outside the nursery. "Is Acornkit awake?" He asked curiously.

"Yes! And she's so cute!" Emberpaw meowed.

The queen smiled; the Clan would except this kit easily. Hopefully, she wouldn't be judged for her looks and would be a really fierce warrior. "You can come look, if you like." She called to Lionstar.

Lionstar poked his head in, nodding to Dewclaw. He smiled softly at the kit. "She's very pretty, I'll give her that." He chuckled. "I'm sure she'll be a fine warrior, just like her mother."

She smiled at the leader's praise.

wildkit who was now 5 moons old peered over over dewclaw and looked at acornkit "i see now why she's called acornkit"

Acornkit awed at all the cats crowding around her. She reached out her paw and quickly swiped at one of them before retreating back toward her mother. She gave all of them a small smile and then cooed softly.

Lionstar backed out of he nursery. So many new kits...Maybe this was Starclan's way of rewarding them after their tough survival through much of leaf-fall, when the forest was quiet and the clan was dangerously small.
