Mallowkit's MCA Ceremony

"Mallowkit!" Softwhisper, well, whispered, poking his head into the Nursery. "Mallowkit, wake up. . ." He said again, a bit nervous. He'd never done anything like this before.

Mallowkit yawned and picked up his head, his eyes filled with sleep. "Huh? Softwhisper?" He got up slowly, grooming down some fur sticking up on his paw. His eyes then got big, as he realized what was happening.
"My ceremony!"
He jumped up, his legs still somewhat wobbly still. "My ceremony! My ceremony!" he giggled, calming down a bit. "Finally!"

"Sssssssssh!" cooed Softwhisper, frantically looking around the dark camp. He didn't want to wake anyone up, and Mallowkit was easily on his way to doing just that. "Come on," Softwhisper said when he was sure no one was glaring at them. Phew. It was time to go to the Moonstone. . . and he would have his own apprentice.

"We're going to the Moonstone. It's a long walk; you sure you can keep up?" Softwhisper asked, concern shining in his eyes. He hated to make others do things like this, but it was necessary if Mallowkit was going to be a Medicine Cat Apprentice. He would have to learn to do difficult things.

"Of course I can!" said Mallowkit proudly, puffing out his chest, but in a hushed voice. "I can go miles without stopping!" Of course, the kit was just being over confident, but he truly beleived he could go any distance without getting tired, especially for his Clan, or one's he cared about or loved.

As they reached the Moonstone, Softwhisper looked down at Mallowkit. "Are you ready to become my apprentice?" He asked, looking down at the apprentice-to-be.

"Yes! Yes, I am!" Mallowkit meowed hurridly, his eyes shining in excitment.

"Mallowkit," Softwhisper said. "Is it your wish to enter the mysteries of StarClan as a Medicine Cat?"

Mallowkit nodded quickly, exciting quivering in his eyes,

"Mallowkit," Softwhisper whispered, looking down at the barely-more-than-a-kit fondly. He was sure that he did the same thing when he was a kit. "Say, 'it is.'"

"It is!" Mallowkit meowed happily, sitting down. "It is! It is!"

Softwhisper said, "Then come forward."

Mallowkit stepped forward with a playful bound of energy. He looked up at Softwhisper, who was soon to be his new mentor.

Softwhisper brightened. "Warriors of StarClan! I present you this apprentice. He has chosen the path of a medicine cat. Grant him your wisdom and insight so that he may understand your ways and heal his Clan in accordance to your will."
