Morning's MCA Ceremony

Morningpaw felt exictement bubble up in her as the medicine cat spoke. "Who will be my mentor?" she asked after they had touched noses.

"I will, silly." Mintberry's whisker twitched with amusement as Morningpaw woke up out of her dream.

Morningpaw opened her eyes in the cave. She felt so much older now that she was an apprentice. Sitting up, she realized the moonstone was not shinning anymore. Had she really been asleep that long?

"Morningpaw..." she let the new name roll off her tongue. Satisfied, she stood up and turned to Froststar. "My name is Morningpaw now!" she said excitedly.

Froststar had sat awkwardly throughout the process, taking the time to thoroughly clean her pelt. Whenever Morningkit- paw woke up, Froststar sighed in relief. Honestly, the she-cat had a problem with sitting still for so long. Sometimes she was wise beyond her years, and others she had the energy and attitude of a kit. At Morningpaw's comment, Froststar couldn't help but laugh. "Morningpaw, eh? I like it. So are you ready to go, Morningpaw?" The leader asked, a twinkle in her icy blue eyes.

"Yes!" Morningpaw said. She looked down the dark tunnel, feeling a little afraid again
