Some things

Falconkit noticed Mintkit walk over next to the deputy. Is everyone going to walk over here? he thought, feeling uncomfortable at the thought of a growing group of cats around him. It wasn't that he was unfriendly: he just felt nervous around bigger groups. "I need to go..." he muttered lamely, quickly ducking out from the others and walking near where the fresh-kill pile was.

The young she-cat dipped her head towards the older cats and bounced off to follow Falconkit, "Is everything okay?"

Falconkit jumped again, whirling around to face Mintkit. Stop it! he scolded himself. They're your clanmates. "Uh, yeah, everything's okay," he mewed, scuffling his paws against the ground. "Nothing at all. I uh... was just exploring... the camp."

Mintkit ventured further towards Falconkit, she was a bit skeptical about the young tom. But then again she wasn't the most open either. There were sometimes where she didn't want to talk to anyone and just listen to the wind blow threw camp. Although this wasn't a time like that she so sat next to Falconkit. "Are you sure?" The last couple words coming from the other kit's maw made her nod her head in sarcasm.

Falconkit looked at Mintkit and frowned, his fur slightly bristling at her sarcastic tone. Forcing himself to keep his fur flat, he shrugged and looked out past the camp once more, to the grassy hills. "What would be wrong?" he mewed evasively. "It's a nice day, isn't it?" He watched a light wind rustle the grass, his ice-blue eyes betraying no ill emotions.

She looked out over camp waiting for his answer. Once it came she looked at him with a hardened look. "Yes I suppose it is a nice day." The silence sat between the two and then she let slip these few words. "I'm good at reading emotions, don't try to hide them." Mintkit didn't look or make any other movement, except for her mouth.

When she let this words slip, he didn't look at her, not at first. He kept staring out at the territory, his gaze hardening. Clenching his jaw, Falconkit turned an eye on her. "You act like I'm harboring some deadly secret," he quietly hissed. This wasn't how he thought this conversation would go, but now he was trying hard to not lose control of his emotions.

Her tail flickered and tension rose in the air. Mintkit stood and turned towards the young cat. "Maybe I am" She turned away and slowly milled off. She honestly had no idea what was going to happen. Maybe he would come after her and she was readying herself for that.

Tensing his not-fully-devolped claws, the young tom bit back a sharp retort, letting her leave instead of giving chase. Let her go, he hissed angrily to himself, slashing his claws through the grass. She couldn't possibly understand how lonely he felt right now, in a clan full of cats yet trapped by his own shyness.

(OoC: Sorry if this seems a bit heavy for a kit. I felt that way as a kid though, so I guess there's a bit of precedence, lol.)

OOC: It's okay

IC -- Mintkit stopped and turned back. She sat a few pawsteps behind Falconkit. A soft sound fell from her maw, "I'm sorry" She didn't want to make a foe in her own clan. She didn't know what the other kit would do. The young she-cat was too nosey sometimes for her own good, and it got her in trouble a lot.

Falconkit turned around and eyed Mintkit, his gaze softening as he shrugged his shoulders. "Nothing to be sorry for," he mewed softly, looking back around the camp. "Wanna, uh, explore the rest of the camp?"

Mintkit looked at Falconkit when he offered her to explore with him. "Of course" She mewed softly.

OOC: Today is my apprentice ceremony when Badge comes on!

Falconkit gave her a soft smile before sweeping his tail towards the direction of the heart of camp. "Lead the way."

OoC: That's awesome! I'm not even sure how long I've been here, lol. Maybe a few days? Hope it's lots of fun. :D

With a nod Mintkit stood and walked slowly towards the middle of camp. Stopping a bit to make sure Falconkit was following.

Falconkit kept pace with the young she-cat, keeping to her right as he followed her lead.
