Fernkit Mischievous Outing out of the Nursery

Fernkit marched out of the Nursery with dignity, her ginger and white pelt bristling in the wind. There was a faint tang in the air today. Her march came to a gallop as she raced over to a Red Maple tree that was growing near the ShadowClan Nursery, and started playing with a brown, crinkly leaf. She had muddled her fur, looking as if she was in an intense battle! looking at her paws, she saw that the leaf was shredded into tiny scraps.

Feathersong was sleeping when she heard the kit. She padded out and saw Fernkit playing with a little leaf, and she giggled. It reminded her of when she was a kit.
She padded up to the kit. "Hi," she greeted.

Fernkit, feeling a bit startled, "hi" she croaked, looking at the Deputy a bit embarrassed. She quickly started licking her ruffled fur and brushed the leaf away gently with her striped tail.

Feathersong smiled gently at the kit. "Do you want to play a game?" the deputy asked. She did need something to do while she wasn't on duty.

Fernkit smiled, a bit of amusement in her light blue eyes. "I would love to play!" she grinned.

"Great," Feathersong purred. "What do you wanna play?"

"Hmmmm" Fernkit mewed, "Lets pretend your an invader, your an invader from another clan, and i have to fight you off." Fernkit purred. Liking the sound of that game, maybe she should play that game with the other kits, she thought to herself. Without much warning, Fernkit leaped into the air, thinking she was going to pounce on the Deputy's back, she missed him and landed next to her. A bit embarrassed, she quickly turned around to look at the big cat, almost twice her size.

Feathersong giggled as she lightly cuffed Fernkit's ear.

Fernkit grinned with a mischievous look in her eyes, she jumped again, this time landing on Feathersong more accurately, she rolled over onto her belly and purred. She was breathing hard now, all this excitement, got the little kit tired. She started licking her fur.

Feathersong let out a purr of amusement. "Why don't you go back to the nursery and have a little nap?" she asked, noticing the kit getting tired.

Scarletkit stumbled out of the nursery and looked at fernkit.

Feathersong looked over, seeing Scarletkit come out of the nursery. She let out a small purr. "Hello!" she greeted the kit.

"h...hi."scarletkit mewed.

"Oh Hi Scarletkit" Fernkit yawned. "Wanna play?" Fernkit asked, with friendly look in her eyes.

"yes!"scarletkit mewed and dashed over.
