Littlekit sat in front of the nursery, his eyes shining blue. He felt like guarding the nursery as practice, since he was going to be an apprentice soon. He was determined not to let any intruder get past. I'ma be the best warrior ever! Just the thought of being a warrior made his pelt tingle with excitement. He let out a yawn as a gentle breeze flew past.

Gingerkit had been lying in the nursery bored out of her mind since the queens didn't want to be bothered and no one else seemed to be up, yet when she looked back to the entrance, she noticed Littlekit sitting at the entrance almost as solid as a stone. "What are you doing Littlekit?" She asked from where she was lying in the moss.

Littlekit looked over at Gingerkit, staying in his guard spot. "Guarding the nursery!" he answered, puffing out his chest, and trying to make himself look taller. "Nobody's gonna get past me!"

Of course, the second that Littlekit said he wasn't going to let anyone past, all she wanted to do was get past him and out of the nursery. "Are you sure about that?" She asked mischievously as she stood up into a crouch and started to sneak towards Littlekit as quiet as she could.

Littlekit got low, ready to attack. "Yeah! Shadowfeather taught me some moves!" He would fight her if he had to, but he wouldn't hurt her.

Gingerkit stopped for a second, but didn't get up out of her crouch. "She taught you moves? Well let's see how good your moves are, Thunderclan cat!" She squeaked, turning this into a game. It was one of the only things she could think of to make this more interesting... that is, if Littlekit played along.

"RiverClan intruder!" Littlekit squealed, pouncing on Gingerkit's back. "I got you now!"

Suddenly all of Littlekit's weight landed on Gingerkit's back. It quickly squished her and pinned her against the ground, but she didn't let that stop her. Of course, Gingerkit was older than Littlekit and therefore a little bit bigger than him and slightly stronger. She tried standing up a few times only to be knocked back down, but with one final push, she got to her feet and pulled herself out from underneath the tom. As soon as she was out of his grasp, she tackled him and sent them both rolling into the moss of the nursery. "Haha! I got you now!" She smiled.

"Not for long!" Littlekit laughed, rolling away from Gingerkit and jumping on her yet again. Since she was older, he thought he could win if he could stay away from the kit's line of view.

She had watched him most of the way as he ran around her to find an opening. As he tackled her again, she found that she wasn't able to beat him and instead was trying to think of a plan on how to get through the exit if the nursery without Littlekit catching her first. "Thunderclan cat, I will defeat you!" She squeaked with a sense of determination as she tried to wriggle out from beneath the tom.

"I'd like to see you try!" Littlekit squealed, running in front of Gingerkit to block her.

As soon as he was off of her, Gingerkiy stood up, turned around and faced Littlekit. "I will get by you whether you like it or not!" She mewed, dropping into a crouch with her rear stuck straight in the air. Soon she bounded towards Littlekit and tried to fake him out by moving left then shooting right. Of course, it the move probably disoriented her as much as it did him.

Littlekit moved to the left, in attempt to block Gingerkit.

As soon as Littlekit jumped to the left, Gingerkit took that chance to pelt out of he nursery and into the middle of the clearing. "Haha!" She exclaimed. "I did it! I got past you!"

Littlekit sat down grumpily. "No fair! You tricked me!"
