In le camp

Echopaw hurried over to Streamkit to make sure she wasn't getting into too much trouble and she bowed her head "Hello Frogleap. I haven't met you in person until now, but I have heard enough about you to know. Glad you meet you."

Frogleap bowed his head. "Glad to meet you too. I was...having private training as an apprentice, so I didn't get out a lot except when most of our clanmates were asleep, when I was collecting herbs." He explained, noticing how much clan activity he missed.

Streamkit bounced up to him. "What kind of lessons?" She asked with the tilt of her head.

Frogleap got to his paws. "I learned about medicine and the uses of herbs and how to apply them to wounded or sick cats. I also had a little battle training!" He replied, rearing up on his hind paws and swiping the air with his fore paws.

"Fighting? I want to learn!" She went over to Frogleap and bite his foot, but not enough for it to hurt.

Frogleap shook her off gently with a purr. "You will, when your an apprentice." He mewed. "But I'm sure you can find some way of practicing while you wait. Not too hard though."

Echopaw mewed "Oh no Streamkit. You're too young anyway. Maybe another time when Frogleap is less busy."

Frogleap nodded. "If Moonstar gives you permission, I'll show you a move even a kit can pull off. I'm actually not busy at all right now." He added to Echopaw.

Streamkit looked up at Frogleap with shinning eyes, "Really? You could?"

"Sure." Frogleap purred, padding over to a less crowded spot. "Don't go jumping into battles though. You need battle training for that first...as an apprentice."

"How are battles anyway? They sound interesting but dangerous.." Streamkit pondered about her on question hoping it was phrased right.

Echopaw mewed "Streamkit, I am not so sure about battles, but get permission from Moonstar first before learning battle moves."

"Battles are very dangerous. Many cats get hurt as they ruthlessly fight each other. That's why it is no place for kits and new apprentices." Frogleap answered quietly, his eyes widened. "Echopaw is right. You need permission from your mother in case you get hurt, even though I would never let that happen." He purred.

Moonstar shook her head slowly. "You won't need to worry about battles for a while, Streamkit." She reassured her, a little worry in her voice. She had stayed silent for a while as the others conversed, taking small bites of vole.

Frogleap nodded in agreement. "Maybe when your older." He mewed to the kit.
