A Meeting of Cats

"Come on, Graystream! Don't wanna get left behind, do ya?" She called over her shoulder as she went to catch up to Moonpaw.

Graystream explained the situation to Mistpelt, "And here we are now, going on a chase for Moonpaw's father," Graystream finished as he looked up to see Moonpaw sniffing the air again, "Anything yet?"

"I can smell him and I swear I saw someone running ahead of me." Moonpaw replied. She narrowed her eyes to try and find the cat again.

Graystream heard a ruffle among the brambles, "Who's that?" Graystream asked half to himself as he stepped forward a few paw steps and smelled the air.

Moonpaw looked around. "Hello?" She saw the figure from before walking away. She ran after it, disappearing in the trees. "I'll be back guys!" she called back.

"Okay, Moonpaw!" Mistpelt called back. "Do you think it's really her father, Graystream?" Mistpelt asked skeptically.

"Maybe," Graystream replied as he sat down and looked at the trees, "Her Father could be anywhere in all of StarClan. There's a pretty slim chance that this will be her Dad. Although her Father may be watching over her and just made a mistake by letting himself be seen by us." Graystream finished as he moved his tail and serched through the trees with his eyes.

The ferns rustled and Moonpaw ran to Mistpelt and Graystream. "I found him!" she yelled, coming to a halt and out of breath. "He says he wants to see me alone sometime."

"That's great that you found him, Moonpaw!" Mistpelt meowed enthusiastically. "I wonder why he wants to see you alone?"

"I don't know, but he seemed happy to meet me." Moonpaw said with her tail still waving high in the air.

Graystream got to his feet, "We should probably give them some time alone," Graystream happily said as he gave Moonpaw a glad look at her found father.

"Alright, Graystream." Mistpelt meowed, turning to leave. "See you later Moonpaw!" And she padded away, out of the forest and out of the dream.

"Bye!" Moonpaw called. "Well, I better go too...being a medicine cat isn't all fun and games. Bye Graystream." Moonpaw padded out of the dream territory.

"Bye," Graystream meowed as he waved his tail at Mistpelt, then at Moonpaw. Well... Guess I should get back too. Graystream thought as he slowly padded through the forest.
