Emberkit's Dreamtime

Emberkit ran around in her dream, chasing a large blue butterfly. She stopped and watched as it flew away into the stars. Emberkit's ear twitched and she turned around as she heard a noise from the bushes.

Dawnlight stepped from the bushes, and stopped as she noted the kit. "Why hello there." She said with a smile. "Who are you?"

"My name's Emberkit." She replied cheerfully. "Who are you?"

"I am Dawnlight. I'm the medicine cat of Shadowclan." Dawnlight sat down. "Tell me how is Thunderclan? If you know." She was quite found of this little kit even though she just meet her.

Emberkit sat down as well, delighted she made a new friend. "ThunderClan is doing well." She replied. "And I'm going to be an apprentice soon. I'm gonna be a medicine cat, like you!"

"Wonderful! Thunderclan needs it. Starclan told me that I was gonna get an apprentice soon!" Dawnlight purred.

Emberkit tilted her head to the side. "You're gonna be my mentor?" She asked, confused.

"As you may know, Thunderclan doesn't have a Medicine Cat. I talked it over with the other Medicine Cats they also agree with me that one of us should train you, and Starclan said I should do it." Dawnlight sat down and started licking her paw.

Emberkit's eyes sparkled. "Wow," She breathed. "but how will I get trained? Will I need to stay at the ShadowClan camp?"

"No. I will be coming over there to you. You will be staying in Thunderclan in case of an emergency."Dawnlight mewed.

"Oh, okay." She said. All of a sudden, Emberkit heard faint voices. "I think I need to wake up now." She said. "See you Dawnlight!" Emberkit closed her eyes and vanished.
