A Wet Ember

Cloudpaw sneased when she batted her nose and laughed. He tried to get her off until he heard her yell. "Are you okay?" He asked her and sniffed her paw. Cloudpaw licked it to try and make it feel better. "Don't worry. One day I bet you can take on any cat of the forest" He smiled "We should take you to see Lilystem though so she can fix your paw" Cloudpaw meowed "Lilystem can make anything better!"

Creamstripe nodded.

Ember smiled. 'Thanks Cloudpaw.' she looked down, and said, 'Can I speak to you Cloudpaw, privately?' she felt embarrassed.

Cloudpaw blinked and smiled a little "Oh, sure Ember." he meowed "We can go behind that tree over there. Can you walk over there when your paw is hurt?" He pointed at the spot with his tail

Ember nodded. 'Sure. I think I can manage.' she limped over, and sat behind the tree. She said when Cloudpaw was there, 'Cloudpaw-' she began.

Cloudpaw followed her behind the tree a little confused. He just found out Bramblestar said she could stay. "Yes?"

Ember looked down, 'I-I-I had a dream, the night before I was found, about a white tom, who would help me, and when you came around,' She looked into his eyes, 'Starclan told me it was you.'

Cloudpaw's amber eyes nodded "R-really?" he meowed, "Well I would love to help you, Ember with anything" he smiled softly

Ember nodded. 'Yes, Cloudpaw. Thank you.' She licked her paw, to clean some blood off of it, 'That was all.' Ember mewed. 'Besides, I'll be an apprentice, soon.' She got up, and tried to keep her balance.

Cloudpaw smiled and licked her behind the ear, "Well not if you don't get your paw healed. Come on." He said and showed her the way to Lilystem's den

She smiled, and followed him. She looked down, partway, she would stop and lick her paw, still stained with blood, once and awhile. 'Thank you Cloudpaw.'

"You're welcome" Cloudpaw bent down and sniffed her paw gently "Lilystem?" he called for his sister

Ember smiled. It hurt when he sniffed it, but she didn't mind. But the scab broke, and blood started rushing. 'Not again.' she sighed.

Lilystem rushed out at her brothers call and the smell of blood and she meowed"Hello here, come in my den" and she lifted the kit lightly by her scruff and set her in one of the nests and ran to the back of her den and grabbed cobwebs and merigold and chewed up the merigold and lightly pressed that on the cut and wrapped the paw tightly with cobwebs "Does that feel a little better?"
