A Wet Ember

Somewhere in the forest, a rouge kit, named Ember layed, freezing in the rain. She was only 3 moons old, and her parents had abandoned her. She wailed, not knowing where she was. 'help me!' she cried, but her ember eyes glowed like a fire in the moonlight. She licked the infected wound, where her paw used to be. She cried again, 'Help!' all she could do, was wait. Wait for her wound to heal, wait to get rescued, wait to die? Who knows what could happen to her.

Ember looked up. "N-n-no. Where am I?' she shivered. trying to hide her fear.

Creamstripe was on her way back to camp from a midnight hunt and heard mewling. She quickly headed for the source, her face like a pot of worry. She came upon a white kit. "Hello there, little kit," she mewed, smiling ever so slightly. She lightly picked up the kit by the scruff and began the trip to camp. "C'mon, Coldpaw."

Ember, the kit looked up at the she-cat, and smelled milk. 'H-h-hi.' She curled up tighter when the she-cat tried to pick her up. she shut her eyes the whole way.

Creamstripe, as she entered the camp, set the kit down infront of her, under a tree that was part of the camp wall. "Stay here, little one," she mewed. She padded over to the leader's den. "Bramblestar!" she hissed inside.

Ember layed down, before the she-cat left, she said: 'Can you find someone to help me with my leg too?' she showed the she-cat her leg.

Creamstripe, hearing the kit from infront of his den, quickly ran over. She saw the deep cut and grimaced. "Lilystem!" she yowled.

Ember looked around, 'Where are we?' she asked, batting at a leaf that fell from the tree.

"You're in SkyClan. Have you ever heard of the Clans?" she whispered to the kit.

Ember looked at the she-cat, tilting her head to the side. 'Yeah, but the only thing I can remember someone told me that there are only five. Windclan, Riverclan, Shadowclan, Thunderclan, and mighty Starclan. I never knew about Skyclan. Is there any others?'

"No. SkyClan is the only one you haven't heard of. We weren't an original Clan, we split off from one," she murmured to the kit. "There's also the Dark Forest, but i can't say that's a Clan," she mewed under her breath, hardly hearable.
