Theres mewling near who could it be?

A she-cat rushed through the Moorland a fox hot at her tail, she had disturbed it and it was now furious, The she-cat was carrying a kit in her jaws, she began panting, seeing a rabbit warren she put the kit in there, wipping around she saw the large fox, the female extended her claws with a hiss and ran at the fox, leaping over it, but it reacted sliding to the side it dug its teeth into her side throwing her to the ground, the she-cat yowled in pain and scratched at its eyes but if refused to let go, the fox pressed down harder and thrashed into the ground, the female must've hit somthing that made it let go, she still lay there panting as she stared at the fox in horror. The fox approached and sunk its teeth into her throat killing her, it began to feast on the cats flesh. Longkit stared in horror as his mother was eaten infront of him, hoping, prayer for saviours.

Butterflystar was leading a few of the older apprentices around when she caught the scent of blood "come now" she hissed "and be quiet"

The fox let out a disturbed growl and looked up, Longkit let out a loud squel, the fox growled again and stalked towards the kit.

butterflystar coming out of a bush after stalking around it jumped out and snarled "leave the kit be" she hissed.

Fox hissed and turned tail know it can't take on three cats, the kit curled up in the bush and gripping onto its roots, afraid the fox was still there.

butterflystar relaxed slightly and padded over to the hole the kit was in. "its ok, the fox is gone" she said softly.

The kit's long ears flicked slightly 'F-Fox?" he meowed fur beginning to lay flat on his body/

"yes its gone" she purred "do you want to come out?" she asked he voice soft.

The ginger tabby tom crawled out to sniff the stranger "Is my mommy ok?" he asked.

"she told me to take care of you" she said stepping in between the kit and the dead she-cat.

"Oh, ok" the tom kit meowed and tried to jump up on Butterflystar playfully.

butterflystar purred and licked the kits head "lets go to the camp" she said and grabbed the kits scruff.

"Camp? whats that? is there other cats? how many are there? is there food? are they nice?" The kit babbled to the clan leader excitedly.

butterflystar just purred as she listened to the kit waving her tail she motioned for the other cats to follow and she padded of towards camp.
