Aurapaw & Goldenfeather Hunting

Goldenfeather waiting for Aurapaw at the entrance of camp. "Good day for hunting..." She said half to herself.

"Can I join?" Leopardpaw asked, bounding over.

Aurapaw padded happily of the apprentices' den and stopped in front of Goldenfeather, his tail swishing excitedly behind him. "Hello, Goldenfeather! What're we doing today?"

OOC: Guys, where do you think we should go? X3 Great Sycamore? I don't know... I haven't planned this yet. :P

"Yeah sure, Leopardpaw." Goldenfeather replied. Then she turned to her apprentice. "We're going to teach you how to hunt today! " She told him. Then it hit her that she never planned where to hunt... I'm so mousebrained...

Exhilaration caused him to burst with anticipation. "Oh, oh, c-can we go to the Great Sycamore? I've heard so much about it!"

IC: Goldenfeather let out a purr. "It's ok with me. What do you think, Leopard?"

"Sure!" she purred.

"Come on, follow us!" Goldenfeather turned and headed for the Great Sycamore, looking back once in a while to make sure her apprentice wasn't lagging behind.

Aurapaw confidently picked up the pace, trying to match his mentor's in an attempt to impress her. "How much farther, Goldenfeather?" he asked eagerly, glancing back and forth between the young warrior and the path of trees ahead of them.

"There it is!" Goldenfeather pointed to a very tall tree. She skidded to a halt. "Okay, now, let's see how much you know." She wracked her brain for a reasonable question. "There's a very important difference that you need to know when stalking a mouse or a rabbit. Do you know what that difference is?"

"Hmm, would it have anything to do with its scent?" he asked curiously, though slightly afraid that his answer was incorrect.

"Good guess." Goldenfeather meowed, "But no. The thing is, a rabbit can hear you before it can see you, and a mouse can see you before it hears you. You were close though." She smiled. "Now we're going to teach you the basics of hunting. Leopardpaw, will you please demonstrate the hunting crouch?"

Aurapaw watched with sudden interest as Leopardpaw positioned herself to fit the maneuver.

Goldenfeather turned to Aurapaw. "Give it a try?" She said.
