Ravenpaw's hunting patrol

butterflystar padded over to the apprentice den and stuck her head in "ravenpaw" she whispered

Ravenpaws head shot up at the sound of her voice, already being half awake as it. seeing it was Butterflystar, she silently got up and padded out to meet her. "Yes?" she asked softly.

"were going hunting" she said "we will grab something to eat when we get back" and she padded towards the camp entrance.

Her eyes glistening with anxiety, Ravenpaw followed her.

butterflystar padded out of camp and checked the scent to see what was there "mouse, in the bush near by, quiet and you should get it" she said.

Ravenpaw nodded and then crept slowly, her eyes on the bush. she could smell the mouse too. When she leaped to catch it though, her back paw broke a twig and frightened the mouse off. "Mouse-for-brains!" she cursed.

"its ok you can try for something else" she said "lets go" and she padded off more for the center of the territory.

Ravenpaw sighed, and followed her. stormpaw was right. I suck at this.

butterflystar scented again noticing that there was a rabbit near by "here, just a reminder, If there are more go for one" she said and padded off not very far when she found a rabbit nibbling on some roots near a bush. stalking the rabbit was not the hard part it was just trying to time your jump. she stalked the rabbit as quietly as she could and at the moment the rabbit lifted its head to smell the air she pounced landing ontop of it and biting it neck.

Ravenpaw gaped at her. "You make it seem so easy."

"just lots of practice, Now go find your own" she said and dug a hole in the ground and placed her rabbit in.

Ravenpaw nodded and shot off to find her own prey. she soon sniffed out a mouse, and using what Butterflystar had showed her, was able to capture it quickly.

butterflystar wasn't far behind and saw ravenpaw catch her mouse "nice catch" she said "we can go back to camp now or we can continue hunting" she offered.

Ravenpaw was silent for a moment. "Could we head back to camp?" she questioned.

"ok lets go" she said and quickly padded back to where she buried her rabbit and started for camp.
