Derping around...

Frogpaw lay awkwardly sprawled out in the camp, looking at the clouds like he always did when he had nothing better to do. It was like being a kit again...an overgrown, pittied kit just because he got beat up by Icepaw. Now, waiting for his new--and painful--scars to heal, he couldn't do anything but just lay in camp. No training, or exploring, or really moving a lot. All that waiting to become an apprentice for nothing...what got into Icepaw? He seemed so nice and playful at first, then he got all rough and...something is just wrong with him right now I guess, Frogpaw thought with a sigh. He remembered Stormpaw, Shiningpaw, and Greypaw's shocked faces as he was almost murdered by the windclan apprentice.

Then he remembered something.

Icepaw had looked shocked too.

Something was obviously bugging him, but it wasn't any of Frogpaw's business. For now, the best thing to do was avoid him at all times, if he could, until he got...better. Whatever was wrong with him. He remembered Stormpaw pretending to be Stormstar of windclan, and Greypaw being Greystar of Shadowclan...oh how pretty she looked in the moonlight, but they could never be together, because the first thing he ever was to learn was that medicine cats can't have mates or kits, especially of different clans. He wanted to be the best medicine cat he could be, and had to put everything in the way of that aside, even Greypaw. Besides, he was way too young to even think about she-cats. But he wasn't too young to learn about medicine. Maybe they could do some minor herb training, to where he didn't have to move around a lot. That way, he could learn even while he was healing. Frogpaw decided to ask Silentherb about that later.

Silentherb came padding into the den, before turning to the entrance. "Just come on, Stormpaw."

Stormpaw poked his head into the medicine cat, his eyes lighting up when he saw Frogpaw. "Hey, Frogpaw! How are you doing buddy? I came over to see you, lucky I found Silentherb."

Frogpaw perked his ears, twitching his tail happily. "Hi Stormpaw!" He mewed, scrambling into a crouching position before slowly standing up. "Nice to see you!"

Stormpaw smiled at Frogpaw. "So, how are you doing?"

"Great!" Frogpaw purred. "I'm feeling better already! How's your training going? You look like you could be a warrior."

Stormpaw nodded, sitting down. "Yea, I finished my assessment so I should be a warrior soon!" he purred.

"You have a few more heartbeats with him, then you have to go, Stormpaw," Silentherb meowed as she now sorted her herbs.

"Cool! I wonder what your warrior name will be?" Frogpaw purred, his eyes shining in awe. He turned his head to look at Silentherb. "Aw, well I guess we can talk again at the next gathering." He added, glancing back at Stormpaw. "See you then?"

Stormpaw nodded, getting to his paws. "Sure!" he meowed as he left the den. "See you at the next gathering!" he meowed behide him as he left the camp.

Silentherb just lightly laughed to herself. "Stormpaw is a very nice cat, don't you think, Frogpaw?"

"Yeah, he's cool," Frogpaw purred, flicking his tail. "Oh and I was meaning to ask you, is it possible for me to train just minorally while I heal? Like, you could show me some herbs." He asked.

Silentherb thought for a moment, then nodded. "I think so," she meowed as she got to her paws and pushed toward Frogpaw a yellow flower. "This is a marigold. It's good for using on major wounds or if a wound got infection."

Frogpaw sniffed it, his eyes lighting up. "That's what you used on me!" he mewed.

Silentherb nodded, as she pushed the herb away. "Can you tell me what you would use for green-cough?"

Frogpaw thought for a moment. "Uhh...Cat...Catnip? Catm-Catmint! Yeah catmint that's it!" He exclaimed, remembering the herb that used to grow by twolegplace.

Silentherb nodded before pushing forward a small, delicate, thick, sticky leaves."This is Thyme. It's good for cats that are in shock, or nervousness, anxiety as it calms them down."

Frogpaw blinked, studying the thyme quietly. He reached out a paw to feel it, as if trying to memorize it by touch too.
