Patrol Calls

Gracestep sat in the camp, waiting for cats to come out. Had to make patrols sometimes, right?

Stormpaw padded out of the apprentice den and sat down in front of Gracestep, her eyes shining with both the respect of her deputy and her mother.

Minkpaw walked up to his mother too, bowing his head. "Hi." He said with happyness in his tone, Minkpaw had a lot of respect for Gracestep.

Gracestep nodded and meowed "Hello."happily.

"Going out on a patrol?" Stonestar asked Gracestep

Raincloud padded up to the assembled cats with a friendly, "Hello."

Gracestep looked at Stonestar. "Yes, Just preparing to. Whenever Brambleclaw gets up...."

Stonestar nodded "Be sure that there are no more owls or other threats about. We are already dealing with one huge problem, we don't need dogs and hawks on top of it"

"Okay Stonestar." the silver tabby replied. "Since Brambleclaw is going to sleep away. Today we'll be patroling the border."

Stormpaw nodded quietly, surveying the patrol Gracestep had gathered. No intruder will cross our borders with such a strong patrol! She thought with satisfaction.

Brambleclaw came out of the warriors den and went to his clanmates. "Patrol?" he asked

"You guessed it," Raincloud mewed cheerfully, glancing at Brambleclaw.

Gracestep nodded. "Brambleclaw, Raincloud, and Minkpaw go to the Shadowclan border." she meowed. "Stormpaw, you come with me. Shall you come with us Stonestar?" she asked.

Brambleclaw smiled back warmly at Raincloud, "Let's go." he told Raincloud and Minkpaw

Stormpaw simply nodded and waved her tail in goodbye to the other patrol. She sat down next to Gracestep, her eyes blinking in excitement. Wow, the leader goes on patrols? What an honor. She thought happily that she'd get to show Stonestar what Raincloud taught her.
