Stormpaw's and Minkpaw's patrol :)

Ooc: Yeah -.- I want to be a warrior!!
Ic: Minkpaw trotted behind Brambleclaw

"Where should we hunt first?" he asked Raincloud as the apprentices trailed behind them.

Raincloud's nose twitched in amusement. "We'll start at two-leg place and make our way around the border," she mewed, remembering her first border patrol as an apprentice.

Minkpaw trotted happily behind. He heard a sound from behind him. He stopped and looked from behind. "Brambleclaw, I hear some thing" Minkpaw said not looking at his trainer.

ooc: you guys know this a border patrol and not a hunting patrol right?

ooc: Yes

ic: Stormpaw stopped beside Minkpaw and followed his gaze. Her hackles began to rise slowly. "Something's there!" She hissed quietly.

ooc: Umm....maybe.

ic: "Get down and scent the air." he ordered everyone. He then scented the air. "Minkpaw, what do you smell."

Minkpaw lowered himself down and sented the air. His nose twitched as he smelt the sent of... Dog! "Brambleclaw! It's a dog!!" He mewed as he saw the dog's face.

Stormpaw's fur began to spike up and she crouched next to Minkpaw. "Should we chase it off?" She hissed quietly so it couldn't hear them.

ooc: minkpaw, is the dog with a two-leg or is it a stray or something?

Ooc: It's a stray.
Ic: Minkpaw hissed and looked at his sister, "I don't know what to do" He said with fear in his tone. " Raincloud! What do we do??!!"

ooc: wait a minute, how would you know what a dog smells like? neither of you should know what a dog is in the first place

ooc: I have no idea o3o. But whenever I read the books, do you ever notice how the apprentices practically know the scent of almost everything(Except clans, that is, until the mentor teaches them)? Like how in one book, Bumblepaw was hiding from a fox once, (Either a dog or fox, I can't remember), and he knew what it was when he saw it, even though he never saw one before. Anyways, I think I'm in the clear because Stormpaw didn't say anything about a dog, and is just wondering whether or not they attack.

ic: Stormpaw kept her eyes fixed on the animal, it's horrible scent filling her nostrils. Uhg, was he rolling in dung? She thought, scrunching up her grey nose in disgust. Her eyes flamed in anger that this thing dare trespass on their territory. I"ll teach it a lesson it won't soon forget!

Ooc: Yeah, but like Stormpaw said every cat in the book, they can tell what the sent is and what it looks like.
Ic: Minkpaw look at Raincloud and growled. "What do we do??!!" He hissed.

"Everyone get up a tree now!" Raincloud demanded, a sense of urgency in her voice. She knew they had no chance of fighting the huge creature.
