Rainpaw's First Hunting Patrol

Rainpaw looked worried. "Graystream, what's up?" she asked, and stopped walking.

He looked over at her, she had a questioning look on her face, "It's nothing, really." He meowed convincingly, "I just... feel something bad is going to happen soon." He said to her simply. He didn't want to over exagerate something that could end up just being nothing. But he just couldn't shake the vibe of things to come. The sky had come down and it was dark by this point in time. He let out a small sigh, "If I tell you what I thought I saw, can I trust you?" He asked her, his voice was a little more quieter then usual.

Rainpaw looked absolutely intrigued now. "Of course you can trust me!" she said softly.

"Alright." He continued on calmly, "In the sky I saw an image... It was hard to make out, and I'm not completly sure if I understood it right, but. I thought I saw the image of two of the forests Clans fighting fiercly with one another." He stopped evenly, looking back up into the air, "I'm fairly certin that this was sent from StarClan, but I'm also positive that the message wasn't meant for me. Some other cat in the forest must have been greeted by one of our ancestors this night, and with that, he or she was most likely told of a phrophecy or warning of terrible things to come. My thoughts are that I mearly oversaw the very end and that the vision of things to come wasn't meant for me." He continued on as he looked down into the grass before finally back at Rainpaw, "I want you to keep this to yourself for the time being, at least until something arrupts between the clans. Matters like this must be handled calmly and thoughtfully so they can cause as minimal damage as possible." He finished as he very slowly began to continue padding from where he left off. He looked over at Rainpaw and gave her a brighter glance now instead of when he was talking where is face was blanck, "Now you need to get some rest, and try not to think about this to much, I wouldn't want you to miss a nights rest because of anticipation." He added as he flicked his tail gently towards the direction of WindClan's camp.

Rainpaw looked taken aback, then proud, and then determined. "I won't tell a soul" she promised, catching up to Graystream. "Thanks for taking me out hunting. When do you think I'll become a warrior?"

Graystream continued on padding evenly. He looked over at Rainpaw for a few seconds before looking back into the air, "I'm sure it will be soon. WindClan needs Warriors after Windtooths dissapearance," his gaze slowly elevated and moved from the stars to the open moor land before them, "Plus, you've done very well with the training so far. I'm sure things won't take to long," his answer was solemn and true. He gazed up ahead, wondering if they'd find out who the cat was that recieved the message.

Rainpaw beamed. She hoped it was soon that she was made awarrior. She had watched Windtooth taking care of the clan, but then he had disappeared and nobody knew what had happened.

The two of them continued on silently through out the night. Their was an ominous calm in the air that gave Graystream the feeling that they were being watched. He turned his head around while they walked, but he couldn't detect anything out of the ordinary. With his vision forward the two padded on ever steadily until they were only a couple of dozen tail-lengths away from the camp.

Rainpaw was getting jumpy. They heard a lous snap from the bushes, and she jumped back a few feet.

OOC: So, is Windtooth taking over your training?

IC: "Well, I guess I'll see you later," he meowed to her dismissively as he stared blankly back behind them.

Rainpaw watched him go. "I'm looking forward to our battle training!" she called after him.

OoC: I'm not sure....

OOC: I think I understand. Unless he goes back on and is very set on training you, I'll continue on with your training.

IC: Graystream smiled slightly as he watched her go. He stood in the open moor land of WindClan's territory for a long time. His gazed remained the same but his mind drifted so much and so fast that it almost disoriented him. And just before he felt like he couldn't handle the thoughts anymore, they vanished. He looked back over his shoulder one last time, before stedily making his way towards Fourtrees and eventually back to ThunderClan's camp.
