Arrival of Snailkit

Willowkit cocked her head to the side at Rainkit. "Umm.. A snail is..." She thought hard. "A snail is a little thing with a shell on its back! That's what Gracepaw said!"

"A shell? A little thing? Huh?" Willowkit's explanation only seemed to confuse Rainkit even more.

"A snail is a small bug that crawls on the ground and leaves goo behind. You can find them on trees and plants alot if you look" Stonestar appeared behind them all suddenly. "Is Snail a new friend of yours?" He asked Rainkit and Willowkit

Sootshadow snorted as she was unnoticed by the kits and the leader.

Willowkit jumped as Stonestar appeared. Instantly she took cover underneath Soothshadow, poking her head out between the elder's front legs. When she finally realized it was the Skyclan leader, she gained a little bit more confidence. "Uh... yeah, I guess so..." She squeaked a little shaken.

Dustleaf touched Snail lightly with the tip of her tail. "Stonestar, I don't think this kit has anywhere to go."

Stonestar flicked his tail and ignored Sootshadows irritation. He bent down and sniffed the kit gently "He carries Brightstorms scent. How weird" he thought outloud and looked at Dustleaf knowing that the medicine cat had been missing. "Where did he come from?"

"Yeah.. Where is she?" Gracepaw muttered.

"I-I.. She's dead." Dustleaf said simply. "I followed her scent after she left me, and I found her body. She's dead. I don't know who Snail is, or why he would smell like her.."

Stonestar felt himself go cold "She's dead and you never said anything?!" He said to Dustleaf angerly

"It's just I didn't know what to say, Stonestar! I'm sorry. It was wrong of me to not say anything," Dustleaf whispered, hanging her head.

"Stonestar, calm down!" Gracepaw meowed. "Dustleaf, did she look beaten or anything?" she asked tenderley.

"She looked really worn out, and more tired than normal.." The she-cat murmured.

Sighing, Gracepaw brushed her tail along the medicine cat's side. "Any slash marks? Smell anything odd?" she insisted.

"You dont think?!" Stonestar shouted back "She was dead and you didnt say a thing! She is our medicine cat - no, our clanmate, and you couldnt even bother to bring her back for a proper burial?! Where is she!? Rotting like an old piece of crow-food in StarClan knows where?" He snorted. "If your name is Snail, then you will be known as Snailkit as long as you stay here. Gracepaw and Sootshadow will take care of you" With that he finished and stalked out of camp
