A small mewing sound came from near the gouge. Woodkit had been born. Woodkit's parents asked a friend of theirs in WindClan to be Woodkit's foster mother.

Rainpaw went with the queen to collect the small kit. Rainpaw carried the kit, making it unable to use it's voice. She took it to the nursery.

Moonpaw rushed in with herbs. "Why didn't anyone wake me?" She gave Woodkit's mother borage leaves and made sure Woodkit was alright.
