DuskPaw was out hunting as usual when she saw them walking back with ManyPaw. She new the clans had an alliance but she sprinted up to them and hissed, "What's going on!?"

Sootshadow stepped up to the little apprentice, "You don't need to worry about it." She hissed.

"Hold on."
Silversoul said, leaping from a tree branch. Her muscles rippled under her pelt as she landed lightly on the ground and approached the border, showing no signs of aggresion.
"I was listening until Duskpaw interfered."
She turned to Manypaw.
"I know how you feel,"
She said sympathetically.
"I was faced with the same choice. You won't believe how many tries it took for me to find where I belonged."

Seeing her mentor, DuskPaw backed away respectfully and bowed her head. "ManyPaw may I ask you one question? Why would you want to go to SkyClan and leave us?" There was pain in her voice.

"Manypaw is truly from Skyclan. His father is leader." She mewed to the apprentice and sort of to Silversoul.

DuskPaw's face went blank. She had known her mother was HazelNut, but she never knew who her father was. "B-b-but, m-m-m-manyp-p-paw is my b-b-brother, s-so that means... M-m-my father is the leader of S-s-skyClan?" Every word confused her.

"Yes, he is. I think Manypaw should talk to you now." She mewed and looked back at Manypaw

"No... I don't want to talk to anyone. I need time to think..." she slowly walked away. My father is the leader of skyclan?! This is going to be a problem for me...

Silversoul lightly laid the tip of her tail on her apprentice's shoulder.
"Go take a nice, long walk. You could use some free time."
She said softly. Turning to the SkyClan warrior, she said,
"Such fragile lives. Even a few words can turn an entire life uspide down. What's worse is actions. If we are not careful, they'll completely destroy the forest. I've never felt so far away from StarClan."
She didn't add the last part- the part about the odd kittypet coming.

"Thank-you Silversoul." she whispered and padded away. This is a new nightmare for me.

Flamepaw's eyes glinted in the undergrowth. "Traitor" her hiss echoed in Manypaw's head.

Angry,he turned and face his flame colored sister."You were once Skyclan to!"he "Stonestar isn't just my father."he growled."I'm no traitor."he growled,stepping farther into Skyclan territory.
