Flamekit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!" called Deadstar. It was time for yet another apprentice ceremony.

Flamekit scrambled out of the nursery followed by the other kits.

Deadstar gazed down at the ginger kit. Hm. Looks as if she already knows what's coming! She shows promise.
"Flamekit, I ask you to step forward," he meowed.

Flamekit obeyed sitently, her paws trembling with excitement.

Deadstar held back a purr, trying to appear serious. "Flamekit. You have reached the age of six moons, and are ready to become an apprentice," he began. "From now on, you shall be called Flamepaw. I shall mentor you, and pass on all I know to make you a great warrior." He hopped off the Highrock and pressed his nose to Flamepaw's.

Flamepaw touched her nose to her new mentor eyes wide with suprise.

Deadstar gave a quick nod. "We will start you're training after you've had something to eat," he explained, and padded back to his den.
