Leafpaw walked into camp tail drooping,eyes still teary,carrying back a black shecat.She and Sleepyyawn and Lionclaw walked into camp,and she walked over to the apprentice den and lay down,distressed,and forlorn.

Tawnykit padded out of the Nursery when she heard the cats coming back into the camp."Hell-" she mewed,but then she stopped.She yowled in terror at seeing Pinestars body,and raced back into the Nusery.

Rosepaw came out to the announcement. She saw Pinestar's body, and began to cry. Pienstar, the cat who had first accepted her when she was just a kit, dead? "No...it can't be..." she said.
