The Dangerous Gorge (Some one from riverclan join)

Raccoontail was chasing a rabbit. It veered sharply at the gorge and went into its hole. She hissed under her breath and walked up to the gorge. She looked over and saw how deep it was. She got dizzy and dug her claws into the ground to not fall over. She looked up and saw some thing coming out of a bush.

The bush rustled, and a black she-cat appeared. She said nothing. She stepped out, cheerful and in a great mood. Pinestar caught a glimpse of a WindClan cat, and she nodded a greeting.

Raccoontail recognized the she-cat "Are you Pinespirit the deputy of Riverclan?" She called across the gorge.

Pinestar shook her head. Her eyes were filled with happiness. "No," she meowed, "i'm the leader of RiverClan. Pinestar." Her happiness drained away as she thought of her leader. She padded forward and stared down into the Gorge. She could just see Bluestar falling into the Gorge over and over again. Horrified, she looked away quickly, holding back tears. Don't cry. You're a leader. Weakling.. don't shed a tear, or this WindClan warrior will see how soft you are! Pinestar looked back and felt a soft breeze ruffle her black fur. She knew this cat, but she couldn't remember the name. Was it Raccoonstripe? No, no... Raccoon...pelt? Raccoon...claw? Raccoontail? Pinestar's eyes flickered when she remembered the name. Raccoontail. I'm sure of it, now. "Are you Raccoontail, warrior of WindClan?" she meowed back.

"Yes I am." She mewed. She saw the leader sad. She must have a lot on her mind like I do. She remembered the horror of seeing her parents bodies broken and battered. She winced at the pain they must felt. She pushed the thought away. She did not want to look weak in front of a leader. "So how is Riverclan?" She asked trying to start a conversation.

Pinestar started to sit down, trying hard to push away the horrible memory of her leader dying. "Very well. We have 3 new apprentices. 2 other apprentices are almost ready to be warriors. But.. prey hasn't been to well," she meowed, her voice slowly fading, not wanting her Clan to seem weak, "because the river has dried up. Our main food source is gone. But we're still going strong." She waited a moment before continuing, "anyway, how is WindClan?"

Raccoontail gasped The river dried up?! She thought. "Well Featherstar is now our leader, but you probably knew that. Deadpaw from Skyclan joined outr clan because Featherstar is her mother. Prey is slowly coming back." She mewed.

Pinestar's eyes widened. I didn't know that.. She nodded. "Well.. ah.. tell Featherstar I said hi."

She wished they could talk more. She wished they had something in common.
