A Midnight Stroll (anyone)

It was the middle of the night, and the stars were shining bright in the cloudless sky. A cool breeze blew through the clearing, making the trees and long grass rustle. An orange-and-white cat stepped from the underbrush, her ornage pelt shining bright, though not as bright as day. The white on her chest and belly turned a milky color as the moon drowned her in light. In one great leap, she reached the top of the boulder in the middle (forgot the name momentarily XP) and lay down to stare at the saters. It had been a while since she left the came, not to come to fourtrees, let alone hunt. There was a rustle in the busshes, but she chose to ignore it.

Featherfall smiled. Sunset was just the person she wanted to see. With a leap from her hiding spot in the brush she jumped into the open. Moonlight turned her shimmery gray pelt into a brush of silver against a painted midnight sky. Her blue eyes glowed with the knowledge that she possessed, and her pink nose paled into a dot of baby pink against a silver pool. She smiled as perfect white smile. With danity paws, she crept closer to Sunset.

Sunset's green eyes twinkled. Though she was not facing Featherfall, she knew the light steps of her old friend. She did not turn around to look for she did not want her to see the relief wash over her face. Instead, she waved her tail in greeting, welcoming her to come nearer.

Featherfall walked closer, her steps as light as the falling of a feather. She lept atop the rock in one easy, graceful movement. "Yes?" She asked, keeping the roughness from her voice.

"I missed you."
Sunset said, trying to surpress a purr as she stood up and turned to face her.

Raccoontail watched from a bush. She really wasn't trying to hide, but she did't want to ruin the moment.
