A new warrior. One after so much loss in the clan. A bright spot in dim shadows. Tigerstar was.. well not fully happy, hopeful might be better, hopeful that this was a good sign. A sign that things would start going up again. The leader called out to his clan from on top the rock. "Let all cats old enough to run the moor gather here for a clan meeting!"

Spiderpaw's massive ears twitched at the sound of a call, his head darting up like a rabbit from its hole. He was doing very well in his training even with his mentor's disappearance. He was at the latter end of his learning anyway, just refining his skills by tagging along with other apprentices when they trained. He didn't want to replace his mentor, still so sure she would return... but that didn't mean he wasn't excited to get his name.
It was any day now, and maybe today was finally the day he would become a warrior! Stars, what would his name be? Hopefully something cool! Or something fun! Or something cool and fun! Honestly he wasn't too picky as long as he didn't get something too silly like Spiderspider... Tigerstar wouldn't do that to him, right?
He trotted up to Tallrock, his gait bouncy and excitable.

"Today comes with good news and new hope. I have called this meeting to name another warrior who has faced the challenges of this trying time and has come out stronger." The leader stated before green eyes turned to the apprentice he spoke of. "Spiderpaw please come forward." The striped tom waited patiently for the spoken apprentice to reach beneath the rock.
"I, Tigerstar, leader of Windclan call upon our warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand your ways and noble code and I commend him to you as a warrior in turn. Spiderpaw, do you promise to uphold the code, defend, and honor Windclan even at the cost of your life?"

Spiderpaw lit up like the sun the moment he heard his name, his paws kneading the ground in his excitement. Finally it was his turn to get his name! He happily stepped forward, his head and tail held high in pride. He was so ready!
"Yes! I do!" He chirped, kneading the ground as he struggled to sit still.

Tigerstar appreciated the apprentice's excitement. It was always good to see reactions like that. "Then by the powers of Starclan, I grant you your warrior name. Spiderpaw from this moment on you will be known as Spiderdance. Windclan honors the optimism and energy you bring to the clan. Congratulations."
After those words rang out the leader jumped down and rested his head up on the newly named warrior. "Congratulations again." He told the warrior quietly before stepping back to allow others to step up and speak to the newly named warrior.

Spiderdance! Definitely cool and fun, Tigerstar meeting his (frankly easy to meet) expectations. Spiderdance's grin couldn't get any wider, eyes shimmering with absolute glee. He was certainly living up to his name as well as he struggled to sit still, his paws excitedly tapping the soft ground beneath him. He couldn't contain his joy, not that the idea that he should ever crossed his mind.
"Thank you," he purred, his voice just a touch too loud to be a whisper before he turned to the rest of his clanmates. He was so ready to celebrate! What would he do? He didn't know, but he'd figure it out. He had time before he had to do his vigil.
