"You remember the audience from our lessons?" asked Nettleweaver, a laugh barely suppressed "I'm sick of them watching in, so I think it's time we cleared them out." Maybe Tigerpaw didn't understand what he was saying. The fluffy tom sighed. "Hunting. We're going hunting. It's... It's kind of fun, but also so annoying. Why don't we have a competition? We can split up for a bit and work at our own pace, and a contest might stop me eating the fresh-kill before it gets back to camp." He quickly scanned for danger, the coast seemed pretty clear and he knew the moves taught by the nomads that lived in ShadowClan so they would be okay. "We'll meet up back here, and if you run into trouble yell out and I'll be there. While hunting you'll find some things are easier to catch than others, it is good to figure things out on your own. Do what works best for you. When we meet back up again I can answer the questions you have. You might answer the questions you have currently by trying it yourself." In reality Nettleweaver had no idea how to explain hunting, especially to a cat that was basically the same age as him. He could help at least, but explaining the entire thing felt weird. See ya!"

The warrior darted away, eager to get the contest under way. Not far from where they started, he caught wind of a mouse. The corners of his mouth quirked upwards. He skirted through the underbrush, eventually coming to rest with his belly hovering above the ground and the brown furred rodent a tail-length away. Mice were always so stupid, and they were easily dispatched. The tom chirped happily none the less with his success, before burying it and moving on to the next item. The frog appeared just as quickly, and as it hopped across his path, Nettleweaver bounced along too before jumping atop of it. The creature squirmed and he giggled before he sent it to be with the mouse. He rose his head and scented the air, but all other scents seemed to stale to be worth following. With a huff, he uncovered the mouse and then returned to the designated meeting place. They weren't particularly impressive catches, but today was about quantity not quality, he told himself.
