Welcome to SkyClan Patrols and Duties: Nursery Duty! Warriors and apprentices alike are expected to feed and care for the queens and their kits. Bring the queens fresh bedding, watch over the kits, play games and even engage in kit-friendly training sessions with newly-created kits, and more! Participants are allowed to freely engage with any queens or kits who join the thread.

Honeydew watched longingly as her dearest friends made their way to the nursery. The light newleaf rain soaked her pelt through and she thought miserably, I never get to go play with the kits anymore. Shaking the jealous thought away, she turned on her heel and marched towards the medicine den. I'll make time to play with them soon, she promised herself, but for now, I must go find Smokepetal, and help the medicine cats organize a patrol to find more herbs for Robinmist.
MALLOWCLOUD ! Mallowcloud watched the SkyClan deputy leave for several heartbeats, smiling softly at her. He knew how much she loved kits. One of his fondest memories was getting a badger ride from her after being woken up from a nap. It'd been his first one and it had solidified their relationship. Friendship. One of the first acts of kindness he'd received from a warrior outside of his own mother and father.
He turned away from her to look at Myrtlebloom and give her shoulder an affectionate bump. "Ready?" He mewed. Without waiting for an answer, he hunkered down to the ground and moved forward, throwing his legs about in a goofy manner. "Kits! Who thinks they can take down this big, mean badger?"
Myrtlebloom was slightly shocked by Mallowcloud’s energy but gave him a slight smile and nod. She grabbed some moss in her jaws and carried it into the nursery. A snicker escaped her lips as she watched her fellow warrior stoop down to play with the kits. He seemed to be excited about nursery duty, and she couldn’t even blame him. Hornetkit turned to the new guests with wide eyes and perked ears. Mallowcloud was clearly not a badger, that he knew, but a pretend badger was just as important as a real one. "I can!" he announced loud and promptly, already running towards the cat-shaped badger with great duty in his joyful expression. His parents were sure to be proud of him for this! Taking care of a badger like a good little kit.
The thing was, however, Hornetkit wasn't exactly a little kit anymore. Not that he could quite count the moons, but he knew there had to be about six of them because some of his littermates had already become 'paws. Plus he'd always been quite a large kitten, and even had some early fighting lessons from Dad! So when Hornetkit sprung to bowl his opponent over, the warrior on the other end of those big paws might have gotten a bit more than they bargained for.
Myrtlebloom’s eyes widened as she saw a rather large kit barrel towards Mallowcloud and plowed over him. Her ears folded back and she heavily fought the urge to laugh at the situation. She dropped the moss she was carrying in the middle of the nursery before laying down and swatting a mossball back and forth with a younger kit.
